The Senior Telecom Engineer will design, configure, and manage telecommunications systems, focusing on networking and radio technologies and handling medium to large projects.

Lead software testing for large-scale rail signalling projects: analyze requirements, develop and execute test plans, perform integration, stress and operational tests, develop test automation, report defects, investigate failures, mentor junior testers, coordinate on-site and lab testing, and ensure safety and process compliance.

Lead turnkey mass-transit programs from planning through delivery. Manage budgets, schedules, risk, change orders and client communications. Ensure contractual compliance, prepare cost/risk analyses and claims, drive customer satisfaction, and lead multidisciplinary teams to meet cost and schedule objectives for large multimillion-dollar rail projects.

Develops and executes software validation and test plans for rail signalling systems. Creates test automation, analyzes failures, conducts lab and simulation stress tests, and reports results. Collaborates with engineering teams, follows Agile/DevOps processes, and supports safety-driven testing and continuous improvement.

Manage project quality for low-to-medium complexity engineering/software projects. Develop and execute QA and SQA plans, perform compliance assessments, audits, root cause analyses, monitor customer feedback and quality metrics, support safety/certification reviews, and coach project teams to ensure deliverables meet standards and contractual requirements.

Support the Configuration Management team by maintaining software/hardware/documentation baselines, tracking changes, organizing CM records, participating in builds/audits, using CM tools and repositories, interfacing with engineering and quality teams, reporting CM issues, and contributing to process improvements and KPI management.

Create, maintain and monitor project schedules in Primavera and MS Project; produce EAC, labor forecasts, Earned Value and KPI reports; support baseline changes, risk/opportunity analysis, change management, supplier/customer schedule integration, and claims/variation support for transit technology projects.

Four-month paid network design internship involving converting customer requirements into conceptual and detailed network designs, deploying and testing solutions in the lab, scripting/automation, supporting field issues, participating in technical reviews, and contributing to bids and proposals while collaborating with software, hardware, and testing teams.

Support bids and project managers for signaling installed-base services: coordinate teams, manage low-criticality work packages, respond to RFQs/RFPs, track schedules/costs/KPIs, identify risks/opportunities, lead progress meetings, and support account management and continuous improvement.

Lead and manage a systems design team responsible for signaling/system design, analysis, modelling and simulation for communication-based train control. Oversee resource allocation, budgets, schedules, risk mitigation, quality and safety compliance, mentoring, cross-functional coordination, and support bids/proposals and process improvements to deliver safe, reusable, high-quality system designs.
