Leads Homebase’s Product Marketing team and company narrative, overseeing positioning, pricing and packaging, industry go-to-market campaigns, customer insights, and sales and support enablement. Partners with Growth, Creative, Product, Sales, Support, and PR to test messaging, improve conversion and revenue per customer, and position products across the customer journey. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring team development, rapid experimentation, and daily use of AI.

Build and launch reliable features across scheduling, HR management, and payroll. Own services and components end to end, including estimation, implementation, testing, production support, and iterative improvement. Collaborate with Product, Design, and Data; solve complex domain problems; use AI tools to improve engineering workflows; provide code reviews; advance engineering standards; and mentor junior engineers.

Build and operate Homebase’s data and ML platform, including CDC and streaming pipelines, Databricks infrastructure, Terraform deployments, real-time inference services, feature stores, and MLflow workflows. Partner with data science and engineering teams to productionize AI capabilities, improve reliability and observability, and participate in on-call operations. The role requires collaboration at the Toronto hub every Tuesday and Wednesday.

Leads and develops a data science team, mentors scientists, and oversees production machine learning models for product features and internal business systems. Designs experimentation programs, partners with Engineering, Product, Design, and executives, and drives applied AI initiatives across scheduling, hiring, payroll, pricing, personalization, sales, and marketing.

Own the technical marketing operations stack, including data access, pipelines, integrations, audience and conversion flows, monitoring, governance, documentation, and tagging. Partner with Growth, Lifecycle, Analytics, Data Engineering, Product, and RevOps to make product data reliable and usable for marketing. The role requires hands-on work with SQL, APIs, event schemas, marketing automation, CDP and advertising platforms, plus AI-enabled quality assurance and workflow automation.

Provides technical leadership across Homebase’s core product domains, including Payroll, Scheduling, Time Tracking, and HR Management. Defines technical vision, API strategy, service architecture, and domain-driven system decomposition. Resolves cross-cutting scalability, reliability, performance, and data-consistency challenges; mentors senior engineers; drives engineering standards; partners with product, data, design, and leadership; and advances AI-enabled engineering workflows.

Build and scale full-stack Hiring Assistant features using React and Ruby on Rails. Develop AI-driven hiring workflows for candidate discovery, screening, matching, and onboarding; integrate LLMs, agents, and automation tools; and contribute to architecture, APIs, distributed systems, performance, testing, and scalability. Collaborate with Product, Design, and Data while improving engineering velocity and code quality in a high-ownership hybrid environment.

Own Homebase’s first 30-day customer experience, including onboarding, activation, free-trial conversion, and early engagement. Define the growth product strategy and roadmap, optimize self-serve funnels, run A/B experiments, analyze behavioral data, and develop AI-first onboarding experiences. Partner with Engineering, Design, Marketing, Sales, and GTM leadership to improve activation, time-to-value, retention, and revenue outcomes.

Lead and grow the HB Assistant engineering team, own end-to-end delivery and architecture for web and mobile agentic experiences, partner with Product/Design/Data, drive engineering excellence (quality, monitoring, latency, data validation), and recruit top talent in a fast-moving AI-native environment.

The Software Engineer will build and maintain internal developer tools, optimize CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate across teams to enhance developer experience and infrastructure reliability.
