Leads Capital Markets supervision and regulatory risk management for Global Equity Research and Equity Products. Designs and administers supervisory controls, conducts electronic communications surveillance, maintains written supervisory procedures, investigates regulatory inquiries, and supports issue remediation. Advises front-office stakeholders, manages onboarding and registrations guidance, contributes to regulatory training and risk assessments, and liaises with Compliance, Legal, Audit, Risk, and regulators. The role also evaluates regulatory changes and explores AI and automation to improve monitoring efficiency.

Own the discovery, direction, delivery, adoption, and continuous improvement of AI- and analytics-powered products for Commercial Banking. Translate business and user needs into product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, prioritized backlogs, and roadmaps. Partner with business leaders, data scientists, engineers, architects, and product teams to deliver measurable value, improve workflows, champion user experience, and align competing priorities.

Executes revenue data reconciliations across financial systems and data platforms, investigates variances, validates data quality, and supports recurring pipelines. Uses SQL and Python for data extraction, transformation, automation, and troubleshooting. Develops operational reporting, documents data flows and reconciliation procedures, improves processes, and collaborates with finance, business, engineering, and analytics stakeholders to resolve data issues and enhance Commercial Banking data infrastructure.

Provides first-line regulatory compliance advice and oversight for wealth businesses, including regulatory risk assessments, compliance issue management, personal trade monitoring, policy reviews, conflicts-of-interest tracking, regulatory change implementation, training, and audit support. Partners with business leaders, Legal, and second-line Compliance to maintain controls, assess risks, remediate issues, and ensure adherence to investment fund management, dealer, privacy, Volcker, and other applicable regulations.

Provides independent second-line oversight and effective challenge of retail credit strategies, policies, models, and portfolio decisions. Performs portfolio analytics, monitors emerging risks, evaluates regulatory compliance, supports audits and examinations, and advises senior stakeholders on risk-adjusted returns and mitigation. Leads governance documentation, cross-functional collaboration, analyst development, work allocation, quality review, and capability building.

Develops and implements IBM z/OS mainframe capacity, availability, and performance strategies. Analyzes workloads, monitors applications and middleware, identifies bottlenecks, and recommends infrastructure, tuning, and optimization solutions. Uses performance monitoring, reporting, visualization, analytics, and capacity-planning tools to maintain SLAs, improve reliability, and reduce operational costs. Collaborates with technical stakeholders, documents solutions, evaluates emerging technologies, and mentors technology teams.

Manages production and end-user support, governance, change management, and operational processes for market risk technology platforms. Oversees system parameters, databases, data reconciliation, controls, testing, infrastructure monitoring, issue resolution, and regulatory audit support. Partners with stakeholders and technology providers on requirements, enhancements, implementation, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions. Develops recommendations, tracks performance and milestones, supports risk system strategy, and ensures compliance with data governance and production management standards.

Designs and executes tests for quantitative valuation models used by Global Markets trading desks. Produces technical model documentation, collaborates with Model Risk Management, Valuation Product Control, and Market Risk, monitors model performance, reports metrics, and supports model risk management activities.

Provides legal advice to BMO Capital Markets’ global commodities business. Drafts and negotiates commodities financing, trading, derivatives, storage, transportation, and related agreements; obtains external legal opinions; advises senior stakeholders on regulatory and legal risks; supports capital markets initiatives; and develops strategies to minimize risk and enable business growth.

Leads BMO InvestorLine’s AI strategy, portfolio, and multi-year roadmap. Identifies and prioritizes opportunities, develops business cases, defines AI product visions, and guides products from discovery through launch, adoption, optimization, and value realization. Partners across technology, data, design, operations, risk, legal, compliance, and vendors while ensuring responsible AI, privacy, security, and regulatory compliance. Advises executives and drives measurable business and client value in a regulated financial-services environment.
