Supports Capital Markets COO teams with regulatory reporting, reconciliations, business and system change testing, client onboarding documentation, and derivatives trading system operations. The analyst will analyze data, resolve issues with internal and external partners, document complex requirements, and help maintain compliance with internal policies, regulators, and tax authorities.

Collaborate on a cross-functional team to research business challenges, design and prototype innovative solutions, build business cases, manage project activities, and present a functional product to RBC stakeholders. The role involves stakeholder engagement, design thinking, user research, teamwork, problem-solving, executive presentations, and exposure to agile development and emerging technologies.

Participate in RBC’s summer innovation program as a Data Engineer, collaborating on a cross-functional team to research business challenges, design and build a functional prototype, transform and analyze data, and present solutions to stakeholders. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, applying data science and engineering techniques, working with mentors and subject matter experts, continuous learning, and contributing to strategy, communications, and executive presentations.

Develop a fully functional prototype addressing a real RBC business challenge within a cross-functional innovation team. Research, design, build, test, and pitch an innovative product to stakeholders. Collaborate with business, data, and technology specialists while applying Agile, design thinking, communication, leadership, and teamwork skills. Participate in technical and professional training and engage with mentors, executives, and subject matter experts throughout the summer program.

Supports Capital Markets Internal Audit engagements by planning, executing, and reporting audits; assessing internal controls, risk management, governance, and fraud prevention; analyzing data for trends and anomalies; drafting recommendations; assisting with regulatory requests and projects; and collaborating with management and audit stakeholders.

Supports global equities sales and trading through market research, trading activity analysis, client and internal market notes, corporate access activities, investment and industry research, and special assignments for equity sales professionals and traders. The role requires initiative, strong analytical and communication skills, multitasking in a high-pressure environment, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and financial market research platforms.

Supports the RBC Capital Markets Equity Finance Desk by responding to client borrow requests, interacting with prime brokerage clients and financial institutions, coordinating with Central Funding and Capital Markets partners, and completing special projects. The role requires financial markets knowledge, strong communication, attention to detail, multitasking ability, relationship-building skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Programming experience in Visual Basic or Python is an asset.

Supports RBC Global Procurement sourcing teams by preparing and reviewing contractual agreements, checking compliance with company policies, liaising with internal partners and suppliers, negotiating commercial terms and pricing, and participating in procurement initiatives and meetings.

Supports counterparty credit risk portfolio analytics and reporting, focusing on derivatives. Assists with risk reporting, ad hoc investigations of trends and counterparties, and development of a data visualization tool. Requires knowledge of market and derivative credit risk, strong analytical and communication skills, attention to detail, teamwork, and proficiency in Excel, VBA, and SQL.

Participate in internal audits, control design reviews, continuous auditing, risk monitoring, and consulting engagements. Help assess internal controls, risk management, and governance effectiveness; develop audit techniques using data analytics; create Tableau visualizations and reports; document monitoring calls; and prepare management reports. The role requires curiosity, critical thinking, adaptability, collaboration, strong communication, project management, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Python and Tableau experience are assets.
