Own Robinhood’s independent risk management program for its Canadian crypto business. Responsibilities include adapting the global risk framework to Canadian regulations, conducting risk assessments, managing issues and incidents, evaluating product and digital-asset risks, preparing board and committee reporting, supporting audits and regulatory exams, and partnering with compliance, operations, engineering, legal, and enterprise risk teams.

Own the architectural evolution of Robinhood’s core infrastructure across service mesh, Kubernetes compute, and Terraform provisioning. Lead multi-region platform resiliency, diagnose issues at the Kubernetes, etcd, Envoy, and Terraform provider layers, contribute upstream when appropriate, and drive cross-functional architectural decisions. The role requires deep infrastructure expertise, production Go or Python development, and the ability to influence complex engineering organizations.

Lead and execute red team operations and adversarial simulations across applications, infrastructure, networks, offices, and processes. Perform threat modeling, vulnerability research, exploit development, and tooling automation. Collaborate with detection/response and engineering to evaluate defenses, document findings, recommend remediations, and mentor teammates while contributing to internal and external security knowledge.

Design and build platforms and tooling to support fraud investigations and operational workflows. Work with large datasets and LLM/AI systems in production, collaborate with data scientists to automate manual reviews, improve system reliability, and increase development velocity. Hybrid role based in Toronto (3+ days/week).

As a Staff Software Engineer, you'll build scalable systems for the Tokenization Engine and mentor juniors, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance and stability.
