Leads all actuarial functions for the Canadian Property and Casualty insurance business, including pricing, reserving, portfolio management, regulatory reporting, capital support, IFRS 17 oversight, and profitability analysis. Partners with executives and underwriting leaders on strategy and risk management, enhances actuarial data and reporting capabilities, supports enterprise systems, and develops a high-performing actuarial and analytics team. Requires deep Canadian insurance expertise, advanced analytical and programming skills, and executive-level leadership.

Supports retail and delegated authority insurance operations by processing and reconciling premium and claims bordereaux, investigating discrepancies, preparing financial and KPI reports, assisting with accruals and audits, and collaborating with underwriting, claims, finance, brokers, and external partners. The role also contributes to internal controls, risk management, process improvements, and operational projects.

Leads accounts receivable operations, including billing, collections, cash application, reconciliations, financial controls, reporting, and audit support. Supervises and develops the receivables team, monitors aging and cash inflows, resolves discrepancies, improves processes, and partners with Underwriting, Finance, Operations, and IT. The role also supports system modernization, automation, month-end close, and insurance-related premium billing activities.

Lead statutory and external IFRS reporting, corporate tax, and financial audits for a P&C insurer. Prepare regulatory returns (P&C1, MCT), IFRS financial statements, tax provisions, audit coordination, and Board materials. Ensure internal controls and SOX compliance, reconcile actuarial inputs, support ESG/OSFI reporting, and drive process improvements and automation for finance reporting.
