Lead and manage tooling engineering for North America structural and mechanisms product divisions: oversee tooling timelines, supplier audits, COE for metal forming, tooling design/validation, cost/simulation/strip layouts, PPAP/FMEA, tooling database management, and support production quality, quoting, and cross-functional implementation for new business and engineering changes.

Supports materials planning and logistics through material-flow mapping, inventory and WIP analysis, replenishment planning, KPI dashboard creation, and lean continuous-improvement activities. The co-op develops future-state standards, supports 5S and Kaizen events, updates standard work and visual controls, and assesses material-flow impacts of engineering changes. The role combines office work with time on the manufacturing plant floor and may involve occasional customer or supplier travel.

Performs product and weld testing for automotive exterior components, including environmental, durability, salt spray, load, and conformance testing. Operates and maintains test equipment, troubleshoots lab systems, analyzes samples, evaluates pass/fail results against specifications and standards, and supports PPAP and DVP&R activities. Assigns test priorities, prepares technical reports and presentations, recommends corrective actions, and supports prototype builds while following safety and quality requirements.

Leads a mechanical maintenance shift in a lean manufacturing environment, coordinating maintenance employees, production support, troubleshooting, repairs, and system improvements. Ensures work meets quality and customer standards, supports training for apprentices and trade students, operates material-handling equipment safely, and maintains effective communication across production and maintenance teams.

Supports the design, improvement, and launch of automotive assembly processes. Responsibilities include small-scale project coordination, manpower and line-balancing studies, engineering documentation, tooling and capital budget coordination, equipment installation, preventive maintenance setup, quality issue resolution, material-handling improvements, continuous improvement, and implementation of engineering changes. Lead energy and sustainability initiatives for an automotive manufacturing division. Responsibilities include monitoring energy use, costs, emissions, and environmental impact; ensuring energy-law compliance; identifying efficiency opportunities; developing carbon net-zero plans and project ROI analyses; managing sustainability metrics in HSELinx; evaluating equipment efficiency; coordinating energy audits and teams; and supporting energy reduction, peak-demand management, and sustainability goals. The role also manages an expense budget and requires travel between locations.

Supports North American financial reporting, monthly analysis, consolidation, forecasting, business planning, and data integrity across Magna Powertrain divisions. Leads OneStream results consolidation, reviews financial plans and forecasts, prepares management presentations and reporting packages, coordinates reporting timelines and capital requirements, and supports audits, lease data, variance reporting, and special finance projects. Collaborates with divisional controllers, corporate finance, auditors, and operational teams.

Coordinates warehouse activities, shipping and receiving, material handling, team training, safety inspections, documentation, expedites, inventory shortages, and continuous improvement. Ensures employees follow warehouse procedures, 5S practices, quality and environmental standards, and equipment safety requirements. Reviews warehouse performance indicators, supports supplier and customer requests, and provides input to employee performance reviews.

Manages manufacturing engineering activities across equipment launches, process design, commissioning, change management, technology integration, and continuous improvement. Leads engineering teams, budgets, staffing, training, supplier and integrator selection, performance management, and customer delivery requirements. Ensures compliance with APQP, TS16949, ISO14001, occupational health and safety regulations, and company policies while supporting production performance, quality, cost reduction, and employee development.

Leads Magna’s global product sustainability strategy across materials, life cycle assessments, product carbon footprints, and supply chain decarbonization. Establishes methodologies, governance, targets, reporting, and tools; coordinates engineering, procurement, suppliers, sustainability teams, and customers; analyzes environmental impacts and identifies carbon-reduction opportunities. The role also supports regulatory and customer requirements, supplier emissions data collection, training, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability communications across Magna’s automotive product portfolio.

Develops, validates, deploys, and supports machine learning, predictive maintenance, computer vision, anomaly detection, and predictive quality solutions for manufacturing. Builds data pipelines, analyzes production data, integrates AI with equipment, monitors models, and creates performance dashboards. Collaborates with manufacturing, controls, quality, maintenance, IT, and operations teams to improve quality, reliability, efficiency, FTQ, scrap, and OEE while supporting Industry 4.0 initiatives and equipment validation.

Coordinate engineering, suppliers, plant teams, and customers to meet timelines, budgets, quality standards, and documentation requirements. Maintain APQP activities, schedules, FMEAs, BOMs, feasibility studies, and project plans; lead status meetings, track risks and issues, support technical reviews and simulations, and drive continuous improvement and cost savings. Regular local and international travel is required.
