Job Responsibilities:
As the Data Coordinator for Magna's North America Payroll Implementation, your primary responsibility will be to ensuring validation, compliance, and accuracy of the data related to the implementation of a new payroll system. You will work closely with Magna's Groups, Divisions to gather and validate data, advise on data cleansing and transformation, and provide insights and recommendations based on your analysis.
Your Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the system implementer and Vendor to facilitate the implementation of data requirements for the payroll system implementation, including scheduling for follow-up meetings, prepare meetings and organizing notes with the Functional Data Lead
- Provide guidance/support to internal stakeholders with acquiring all data requirements for build transformation and validation logic
- Conduct follow-ups for outstanding tasks with Groups and Divisions with validation processes and sign-offs
- Analyze data from various sources, including payroll, time & attendance, and HR systems, ensuring data completeness, quality, and accuracy
- Manage defects logged by the Groups and Divisions, and determine priority of high-risk items for the Data Lead to review
- Support with testing of transformation logic to ensure data consistency and integrity
- Track and report load errors from integration and migration of data to the new payroll system and identify any patterns for future mitigations
- Review and identify gaps of data integration from vendors and internal HRIS
- Stay updated with industry best practices and trends in payroll compliance, data analysis, and implement them within the payroll implementation process
Who we are looking for:
- Knowledge of payroll processes, systems, and compliance requirements
- Experience in payroll processing or similar role for Canada and the US
- Proven experience as a data analyst or similar role, preferably in the payroll domain
- Strong proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as SQL, Excel, Power BI, or Tableau
- Strong data manipulation and data cleansing skills
- Knowledge of database management systems, data warehousing, and data integration concepts
- Ability to interpret complex data and present insights in a clear and concise manner
