Senior Revenue Accountant

The Senior Revenue Accountant will manage the most complex activities associated with maintaining general ledger, month-end closing, developing financial statements and reports, and budget analysis. Part of the responsibilities is to reconcile balance sheet accounts, prepare information used in quarterly reporting and contracts review. Along with the other team members, they are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the financial data, compliance with both IAS, US GAAP, as well as safeguarding the Company assets through implementing established control measures. It requires an individual with exceptional organizational skills, initiative, and the ability to complete multiple tasks in a deadline driven environment.

What you’ll do

• Revenue accounting for Equifax Canada, in compliance with US accounting regulations and US GAAP standards.
• Management of the accounting for revenue generating projects. You will prepare month-end reports, commentaries and variance analysis to senior management.
• Management of quarterly sales contract review process and input into customer opportunities.
• Support the FP&A team in forecasting and budgeting, quarterly contract reviews of material contracts and oversee the rebate and royalties process.
• Involvement with, and leadership of, multi-functional projects and business initiatives.
• Involvement in the production of customer invoices and management of authorization workflows.
• Assessment on the accounting treatments of different revenue topics such as recognition/rebate/discounts and other.
• Oversee the rebate and royalties process.
• Accounting entries for deferred accounts, reclassification entries.
• Bad debts analysis and follow up.
• Analysis of the revenue.
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• ME billing (BRM) data analysis.

What experience you need

• 5+ years accounting experience and university degree in accounting.
• Qualified accountant (CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS accounting.
• Experience in revenue accounting and knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Experience on the review of contracts and master agreements which are multi-element and complex.
• Foreign currency accounting and report writing and maintenance.
• Experience using Oracle Financial system.
• Advanced Excel Skills.
