Job Description

Job Overview

The Human Resources (HR) Coordinator facilitates various aspects of the HR function across all Eataly Canada stores and supports the Store HR Team including but not limited to: recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, HR administration, employee relations. Reports to the Human Resources Generalist (HRG) and functionally to the Area Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP).  

  • Collaborates with the HRBP & HRG to deploy a fully integrated People strategy from acquisition to exit
  • Acts as liaison to employees, developing employee engagement activities and responding to inquiries or requests 
  • Maintain all employees’ files through HRIS such as employee records, training tracking, applicant tracking, etc.
  • Facilitates new hire orientation and assist with preparation and set-up of various training classes and employee meetings and classes calendar
  • Coordinates the integrity and timeliness of employee paperwork including new hires, status changes and separations. 
  • Supports the recruitment process using the Applicant Tracking System: screens and selects candidates for advancement in the hiring process; coordinates interviews; collects feedback; manages candidate experience and follow up
  • Organizes in-store hiring events and participates in external job fairs
  • Prepares employees for proper cultural assimilation through onboarding and new hire orientation
  • Collaborates with Corporate to implement trainings for employees
  • Drives awareness and adoption of broad benefits offerings at Eataly
  • Conducts and analyzes exit interviews to identify and recommend improvements to existing processes
  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable HR federal and state requirements
  • Supports the HRBP with metrics and data analysis
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 1+ years of full cycle HR experience, preferably in retail and/or hospitality
  • Understanding of all components of HR including systems, databases and metrics
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills
