BIMM is booming, so we’re looking for a CMS Content Author to join our team! This is a short term contract starting October 14, 2024 running to December 20, 2024. Potential to go in to 2025.

We are open to remote candidate's across Canada. Those outside of Ontario will be asked to work EST hrs.

Who we’re looking for 

We are looking for a qualified CMS Content Author to join our team. You will be responsible for creating, improving and maintaining content according to our clients’ business goals and brand requirements. Our ideal candidate is a quick-learning, detail-oriented self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and a knack for problem solving.

Plus, candidates must possess a creative, open-minded and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving, and have a solid track record of successfully delivering complex projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain content in multiple Content Management Systems (CMS) for our clients websites
  • Collaborate with dealerships and design teams to plan, develop and implement site content, style and layout
  • Supporting on technical integrations with the development teams and troubleshooting technical issues
  • Crop, compress, transfer and manage visual assets to Digital Asset Management Systems for use on client websites
  • Practice quality assurance for the work of yourself and your peers
  • Deploy / activate website content on a consistent schedule
  • Liaise with content writers & product specialists to ensure accuracy & brand consistency
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure that CMS components are able to support our content and accessibility requirements
  • Implement legal and compliance requirements (e.g. copyright, accessibility, data protection, and legal disclaimers)
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and generate new ideas to draw user’s attention

Requirements 

  • The ability to be flexible and highly adaptive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to problem-solve in both solo and collaborative situations
  • Highly developed organizational, communication, and negotiation skills  
  • Strong computer and software skills (including Google Suite of Products, project management software, Adobe software and CMS software)
  • Independence and the ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining focus and productivity
  • Proactivity – the ability to anticipate and manage risk
  • A detail-oriented nature, and the ability to see the big picture while paying attention to the smallest details 
  • A calm and patient demeanor under pressure

Nice to have 

  • Previous work experience as a Content manager/author
  • Hands-on experience with MS Office, Photoshop, and content management platforms (Adobe Experience Manager) is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Issue tracking tools (ie: Jira) a plus
  • Working knowledge of Corporate wiki tools (ie: Confluence) a plus
  • Working knowledge of WCAG AA Accessibility standards a plus
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and website development
  • Knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics
