The Trimble Field Systems segment provides solutions to increase precision and productivity in construction tasks by empowering stakeholders to collect accurate information and manage conditions with cutting-edge technology.

What Makes This Role Great: You will be the primary architect and navigator of our cloud modernization journey, owning the evolution of our public-facing APIs and web applications. This is a unique "best of both worlds" opportunity where you will influence high-level product strategy and documentation governance while staying deeply connected to the code through 50% hands-on backend development.

Key Exciting Responsibilities

  • Drive Cloud Modernization: Architect and execute the transition from a monolithic desktop application into scalable, AWS-hosted microservices.

  • Own the API Ecosystem: Lead the evolution of our public-facing APIs and customer web applications, ensuring top-tier reliability and performance.

  • Mentor and Lead: Guide a talented remote development team, translating complex business requirements into clear technical roadmaps and actionable tasks.

  • Ensure Architectural Excellence: Establish high standards for documentation and design, ensuring all services are built for long-term scalability and cross-divisional integration.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • AWS Expert: You have 5+ years of experience building and managing cloud-based systems on AWS.

  • C# Backend Pro: Deep proficiency in backend development using C# is required.

  • Architectural Visionary: You possess a proven track record in microservices decomposition, API design, and distributed systems.

  • Clear Communicator: You are a natural communicator with a proven talent for documenting technical plans and leading offshore engineering teams.

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience with Geospatial, GIS, or mapping technologies.

  • Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) or Event-Driven Architecture.

  • Background in API-first product development and cross-enterprise integrations.

  • Expereince working with or leading international teams
