As a Data Strategy Analyst, you will work closely with the Manager of Data Strategy and Product Development, playing a crucial role in supporting the organization's data strategy and governance initiatives. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will gather data requirements, assist in developing and implementing comprehensive data strategies, and ensure the alignment of data usage with business goals.

You will leverage your data analytics expertise to help maintain data roadmaps, build process data flows, manage project management tools, support certification of products based on governance standards and help execute overall data strategy. This position will also work in collaboration with the delivery team, and product managers to ensure the analytics program is enabling the overall data strategy.

This role is based in Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Toronto Corporate Office, reporting to the Manager, Data Strategy and Product Development. This role involves interactions with primarily internal stakeholders at various levels.

What You’ll Be Doing

Facilitation and maintenance of ongoing data strategy and roadmap:

  • Assist in the implementation of relevant data governance policies and work closely with product owners to ensure data products are certified for use.

  • Support manager in maintaining a data roadmap, ensuring the alignment of data usage with evolving business strategies, emerging technologies, and data sources.

  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with data stewards, product owners, and other key stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and data stewardship.

Oversee implementation of data strategy:

  • Support intake of new data products through communication with stakeholders, maintenance of templates, and scheduling of oversight groups

  • Collaborate with project managers and delivery team to support the development and delivery of data products that provide value to the business

  • Assist data architects in developing effective data models to achieve business objectives

  • Work with manager to create clear and detailed process flow diagrams to visualize data processes, integrations, and workflows, ensuring alignment with business needs and operational efficiency

  • Provide ongoing support and training on product certification requirements

Proactive research and promote use of data to enable FS strategy:

  • Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in data management processes

  • Communicate the value of data-driven decision making and foster a data-driven culture by promoting awareness and understanding of the importance of data

  • Familiar with implementation and use various data governance tools and software

  • Familiar with DMBOK principles

  • Understand of complete data lifecycle and related data governance requirements

  • Understanding of GDPR and related legislation

  • Ability to manipulate, analyze and transform large datasets to understand trends and patterns

  • Working knowledge of cloud computing platforms. MS Azure preferred (Microsoft Synapse, Azure Data factory, Azure Data Lake, PowerBI)

  • Proficient in SQL or other programming languages

  • Experience with data visualization and dashboarding (Power BI, Tableau)

  • Expert in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)

  • Working knowledge of project management tools such as Monday.com and Jira

  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and principles

  • Experience managing data lifecycle

  • Demonstrated ability to align data strategy with business goals

  • Experience in data strategy development and implementation

  • Ability to adapt data strategies to evolving business needs and changing landscape

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends, detect anomalies, and translate complex data sets into actionable insights and strategies

  • Experience with data governance tools and technologies such as informatica

  • Strong knowledge of data protection regulations, and compliance standards

  • Bachelor's in a relevant field (e.g., data management, information technology, business analytics, informatics).

This role will be a Hybrid working model, which will require 3 days per week in the Four Seasons Corporate Office located at 1165 Leslie Street, Toronto, Ontario #LI-Hybrid
