As we continue to expand, we are seeking a strategic and results-driven Vice-President, Finance and Administration to join our executive leadership team.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the President, the Vice-President, Finance and Administration (VPFA) plays a critical leadership role in shaping the company’s financial strategy and overseeing key administrative functions. This executive will act as a trusted business partner to the President and senior leadership, ensuring financial discipline, operational efficiency, and scalable systems to support growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Financial Leadership
  • Partner with the President and Executive Team to define and execute financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Provide leadership on financial planning, forecasting, cash flow management, and capital allocation.
  • Deliver insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Financial Management & Compliance
  • Oversee accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and performance monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate policies.
  • Lead annual audits and manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and advisors.
  • Manage treasury functions, including cash flow, working capital, and foreign exchange exposure.
  • Ensure full compliance with all Canadian tax laws and relevant financial regulations.
Risk Management & Governance
  • Identify and mitigate financial, operational, and regulatory risks.
  • Establish and maintain robust internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Support governance requirements, including Board and committee reporting as applicable.
Administration & Operations
  • Oversee all aspects of finance and administration such as Accounts payable, Billing, Accounts receivable, Collection, Payroll.
  • Oversee contracts review (scope may vary).
  • Drive process improvements and system enhancements to increase efficiency and scalability.
People Leadership
  • Lead, develop, and mentor high-performing finance and administrative teams.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Support talent development and succession planning within the function.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (MBA or Master’s degree an asset).
  • CPA or equivalent professional accounting designation strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in finance, including senior leadership roles.
  • Proven experience in a private-sector environment, ideally within a growth-oriented organization.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, audits, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of tax compliance.
  • Experience overseeing administrative or shared services functions is an asset.
