TripArc’s goals are simple. To make our network of over 1400 travel entities more profitable, efficient and help them create truly unique travel for their clients.
The Role
TripArc is hiring a Technical Product Owner to work alongside our Software Design & Architecture team, owning the cross-platform view that individual delivery squads can't maintain on their own.
You sit across the platform — documenting how shared services connect, coordinating version currency across the stack, managing the intake of new services being elevated from squad-owned to platform-agnostic, and ensuring architectural decisions are captured and communicated where they need to land. You bring strong technical instincts, a working understanding of modern AI tooling, and the SDLC fluency to operate confidently from discovery through deployment.
What You'll Work On
Platform service governance
Maintaining oversight of TripArc's shared platform services such as brand services, payment gateway, rules engine, profile service (ACAVE), media service, access control API, the TripArc Core C# library, and the Nexus component library — tracking ownership, health, and readiness as services mature from squad-level to platform-agnostic.
Version and maintenance coordination
Coordinating scheduled upgrades across platform services, bringing together the right engineering skills, scheduling the work, and tracking it to completion. An ongoing operational responsibility.
Architecture and integration documentation
Working with the Architecture team to document service contracts, integration patterns, and platform decisions in Confluence including data flow diagrams, dependency maps, API summaries, and decision logs.
Cross-cutting requirements
Eliciting and maintaining requirements that span multiple squads or product lines, surfacing shared dependencies early and aligning teams on platform contracts before they diverge.
Emerging capabilities
Supporting the evaluation and introduction of new platform capabilities like event sourcing, evolving NServiceBus patterns, and newer data and messaging tooling whilst coordinating across architecture and infrastructure stakeholders.
AI Commons governance
Maintaining TripArc's AI Commons: the shared repository of AI configuration, role guides, and skill packs across GitHub Copilot/Codex, Claude, and Cursor, keeping it current as AI tooling evolves.
Infrastructure and DevOps partnership
Coordinating with Infrastructure and DevOps on platform performance, Azure/AKS health, and AIOps initiatives. You ensure the right conversations happen and outcomes are documented.
What We're Looking For
Technical foundation
- 4–7 years in a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or technical solutions-focused role on software delivery teams
- Comfortable reading REST API documentation, OpenAPI/Swagger specs, and data models
- SQL fluency sufficient to support integration analysis and data validation
- Working knowledge of microservices architecture, event-driven patterns, and API design principles
- Familiarity with Azure, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines — enough to ask the right questions and track the right work
- Exposure to NServiceBus or equivalent messaging infrastructure is an asset
- Hands-on with Jira and Confluence as your daily operating environment
AI fluency
- Actively uses AI tools (Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or equivalent) as a standard part of how you work
- Experience with AI governance or shared AI configuration management is a meaningful differentiator
- Deep experience with AI-assisted development or agentic pipelines is a strong asset
Process and communication
- Strong documentation instincts — you produce artefacts that reduce ambiguity, not just record discussions
- Comfortable facilitating cross-functional conversations with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Able to hold a platform-level view while engaging at the detail a developer or architect needs
- Experienced managing multiple concurrent workstreams across teams with competing priorities
Additional Assets
- Experience in travel, e-commerce, logistics, or marketplace platform environments
- Familiarity with MongoDB aggregation pipelines or document-oriented schema design
- Prior experience in a platform-level or architecture-support BA role
How We Build
We move fast, we care about quality, and we hold both at the same time. We expect every member of this team to use AI tools as a standard part of how they work — not as a novelty. We document in Confluence, coordinate through Jira, and hold ourselves to the discipline of keeping shared decisions visible and current.
Why This Role
TripArc is operating at a point of real platform complexity — multiple squads building in parallel, shared services maturing, and new architectural patterns being introduced. This role sits at the center of that. You won't be reactive. You'll be the person who keeps the platform coherent while everyone else moves fast.
