Your role and responsibilities:

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be a key player in the recruiting process at Xanadu, owning end-to-end recruitment activities for multiple teams. You will build and maintain good relationships with both candidates and Xanadu hiring managers, ensuring an outstanding candidate experience. You will manage a high volume of candidate pipeline activity and maintain confidentiality within our hiring process.

  • Managing the full cycle recruitment for high-volume roles including understanding recruitment needs, creation of job descriptions, posting jobs on various external job boards, sourcing candidates, scheduling and conducting interviews and job offer
  • Ensuring there is a full pipeline of qualified candidates through targeted sourcing
  • Leading a high volume of phone screens with candidates
  • Guiding and scheduling candidates throughout the recruiting process
  • Build and maintain working relationships with hiring managers and HR team to understand current and future recruitment needs and identify optimum sourcing strategies
  • Conduct interviews to assess candidates; make hiring recommendations; provide support and counsel to hiring managers throughout the recruiting process
  • As an expert in recruitment, provide feedback and recommendations to both the candidate and hiring manager regarding strengths and development opportunities, with the goal of selecting the most qualified candidate
  • Manage the job offer process, including negotiation and background checks
  • Effectively communicate with the candidates, recruiter, and hiring managers throughout the entire candidate journey
  • Maintain a database of job descriptions and ensure they are up to date
  • Use JazzHR to manage requisitions, jobs postings, and track candidate pipeline activity and  maintain information during the recruitment process; ensuring all information is current and activity is updated on a regular basis
  • Collaborating on ad-hoc events or tasks related to talent

Required qualifications and experience:

  • Post-secondary degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience in a high volume or startup recruitment position
  • Required experience recruiting for both technical and non-technical roles 
  • Expert Sourcing Skills: Proficiency with tools beyond the standard LinkedIn Recruiter—familiarity with GitHub, specialized engineering forums, and talent mapping
  • Negotiation & Closing: Strong experience closing complex offers, including relocation, sign-on bonuses, and equity packages
  • Operational Excellence: Exceptional organizational skills and a "self-starter" mindset. You take ownership of your desk and your data
This is for a new position. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and internal benchmarks. The base salary range is 80,000 - 120,000 CAD. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
