Status: Temporary Full Time (12 months)

Position Summary 

As an experienced corporate Talent Acquisition Consultant and strategic Human Resources partner, you will play a key role in supporting a diverse client portfolio within a large, decentralized, multi-union healthcare organization operating in a complex, fast-paced, and evolving environment.

Duties 

  • Partner with hiring leaders to understand workforce needs, role requirements, and timelines, providing consultative recruitment advice and market insights
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment activities, including requisition intake, posting strategy, sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer letter generation, and onboarding handoff
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to attract diverse, high-quality talent, including passive candidates, pipelines, and talent communities
  • Ensure a positive and inclusive candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle
  • Provide guidance on employment legislation, internal policies, unionized and non-union recruitment processes, and best practices related to Talent Acquisition
  • Manage recruitment data, metrics, and reporting to monitor time-to-fill, quality of hire, and process effectiveness
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (People Consultants, hiring leaders, compensation, etc.) to support talent initiatives
  • Support compliance with organizational, regulatory, and equity requirements across all recruitment activities
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of recruitment processes, tools, and systems (e.g., ATS, assessments, digital platforms)
  • Participate in employer branding, career fairs, and outreach initiatives to strengthen the organization’s talent pipeline
  • Performs other cross-functional duties as required (including special projects)

Qualifications

  • University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 3–5 years of full-cycle recruitment experience in a complex, fast-paced organization; experience within a large, decentralized and/or unionized environment is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience managing high-volume and specialized recruitment portfolios simultaneously
  • Strong consultative skills, with the ability to influence, advise, and partner effectively with hiring leaders and senior stakeholders
  • Proven experience developing sourcing strategies and engaging passive candidates using multiple channels and platforms
  • Solid knowledge of employment legislation, human rights, and equitable hiring practices
  • Experience working with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and digital recruitment tools; data literacy and comfort using metrics to inform decisions
  • Excellent communication, relationship management, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, meet tight timelines, and adapt to changing business needs
  • CHRP designation or working toward professional HR certification is an asset
