What you'll do

The Talent Acquisition Consultant will be accountable to perform full cycle recruitment and deliver a best in class candidate experience. A wide degree of creativity, understanding of the current recruitment landscape, business acumen and superior time management is required.

The Dealer Recruitment & Selection business unit is responsible for attracting, assessing, and selecting high-calibre entrepreneurial leaders to operate independently owned retail locations within the Dealer network. Dealers function as owner-operators and are accountable for driving store performance, people leadership, customer experience, and community presence while aligning to enterprise standards and values.

This function partners closely with Dealer Relations, Leadership & Development, and senior business stakeholders to ensure the long-term strength and sustainability of the Dealer network. Recruitment efforts focus on identifying candidates with strong business acumen, leadership capability, financial aptitude, and cultural alignment to successfully manage complex retail operations.

Recruiters supporting this unit lead full-cycle Dealer recruitment, including proactive sourcing, rigorous assessment and selection, stakeholder consultation, and candidate experience management. The role requires a strong consultative approach, market insight, and the ability to balance business needs with objective, competency-based decision-making to support succession planning and network growth.

  • Source passive and active prospects, screen applicants, present candidates, coordinate and conduct interviews, and perform administrative components of the hiring process 

  •  Develop and maintain strong relationships with business partners including making sound recommendations 

  •  Engage in recruitment marketing activities to increase awareness of the Associate Dealer opportunity in the market 

  •  Act as a brand ambassador by promoting Canadian Tire’s brand in the marketplace through developing and maintaining strong candidate relations and industry networks 

  •  Create and foster relationships with professional organizations and community organizations, to create partnerships to pipeline quality candidates 

  •  Stay informed of current trends and recruiting techniques to be innovative with sourcing and attracting quality candidates 

  •  Update recruitment database in a timely manner in order to maintain accurate recruitment metrics 

  •  Leverage LinkedIn Recruiter to manage sourcing activities 

  •  Complete all administrative and document management to ensure compliant with legislative requirements 

  •  Other talent acquisition related tasks and projects as required 

What you bring

  • 1-2 years’ experience in full cycle recruitment, combination of agency and/or corporate experience is an asset 

  •  Experience with multiple methods of sourcing & recruiting passive and active prospects 

  •  Highly developed written and oral communication skills 

  •  Excellent time management skills; ability to prioritize tasks 

  •  Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately 

  •  Ability to build trust and rapport with key stakeholders 

  •  Questions the status-quo and looks for ways to improve work 

  •  Brings high- energy and positive outlook to the role, making a positive impact on those around them 

  •  Customer focused with desire to provide best in class service

Broadband Salary Range: 53,000.00 - 88,000.00 CAD Annual

Our typical hiring range is between $65,000.00 - 80,000.00 CAD per annum. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, job-related knowledge, skills and competencies, market location, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements
