Position Overview:
As a Sr. Graphic Designer, you'll be a key player in our creative engine, developing visually engaging designs that elevate social media content and campaigns. You'll possess a deep understanding of design principles, typography, and visual storytelling techniques, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for pushing creative boundaries. You'll be a master of static design, video design, and animations, capable of bringing your ideas to life across various platforms and formats, while simultaneously providing mentorship to junior staff to uplevel their craft in similar ways. You are on-the-pulse with the latest in art, design, AI and culture, and you think about your designs from a multitude of angles - ensuring acute understanding of how people are interacting with the creative you put out in the wordl.
Responsibilities:
Visual Identity & Brand Standards:- Develop a deep understanding of the brand standards and guidelines of various clients, ensuring that all designs accurately reflect their unique identity and voice.
- Effectively implement brand guidelines across a range of design outputs, including social media content, campaigns, marketing materials, and more.
Static, Video & Motion Design:
Lead the creation of visually compelling static designs, including social media graphics, illustrations, infographics, and presentations.- Leverage a strong point of view in support of the design of engaging video content, including motion graphics, animations, and video editing.
- With varying degrees of direction, produce high-quality design assets that are optimized for various social media platforms and formats.
- Collaborate effectively across departments (Strategy, Production, Media, etc.) on behalf of clients- supporting the translation of brand strategy into visual ideas.
- Mentorship and Team Leadership
- Guide and mentor junior staff (Designers, Creatives, etc.), providing clear feedback and direction which elevate the overall quality of the creative output
- Lead on design work that will be utilized for external clients, ensuring that all deliverables meet their specific needs and objectives.
- Present design work and creative concepts to clients or leadership- with ability to clearly articulate rationale and confidently defend design decisions.
- When needed, contribute to the design of agency marketing materials, presentations, and other visual assets- enlisting an ability to breathe life into the Viral Nation core brand.
- Stay abreast of and utilize AI-powered design tools and technologies to enhance and streamline workflows, maximizing efficiency and creative output.
- Enlist AI agents in daily work flows to enable innovative design techniques and approaches, pushing the boundaries of creativity and visual storytelling.
Position Requirements:
- 4+ years experience in graphic design- with an emphasis on social media- and preferably in a marketing agency or similar environment
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Acute knowledge of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout.
- Experience with motion graphics and design-in motion.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Understanding of social media marketing best practices, platforms and trends.
- Viideo editing experience is a plus.
