Job Description

We are growing like mad and are looking to hire a talented Lead Game Designer. We believe that all good things are wild and free, so we operate 100% remote. 100% independently. You have demonstrable skills in organization, process & structure, and are interested in pursuing leadership because you are a great critical thinker and have an eye for product quality. You will be joining a team with creative instincts that are impeccable, and you are passionate and knowledgeable about all things gaming.

This is not about ticking boxes. You will be a strong voice, with incredible drive, motivation, and communication skills. Involved in all aspects of the game, you will collaborate closely with the Game Director and operational managers. 

 There is no limit to your potential growth in this role. Start with this initial brief:

  • Create an inspiring game vision and own major facets of the design, such as, core game mechanics and overarching game features. 

  • Develop prototypes and iterate to ensure designs are on point before going into full production

  • Iterate and evolve designs, based on regular playtesting and community feedback

  • Use qualitative and quantitative methods to validate and improve work

  • Re-master the player experience and collaborate with Live-Community Designers and Community Members alike.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience working as a designer with medium-large teams in the video game industry

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment

  • Have led a design team of at least 5 game designers

  • Experience using MS Office, JIRA, Notion, and other design tools 

  • Experience with all aspects of game design discipline: concept, game progression, interface, monetization, and retention

  • Pride in creating a high-quality, addictive and social game feature-sets

  • Strong critical thinking skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to organize game design workflows from start to finish

  • Experience or knowledge in the crypto space is a plus

  • Experience in a startup environment is a plus
