Position
Overview
We are seeking
a highly experienced Senior Front-End Developer to design, develop, and
maintain secure software components for a public facing web portal. This role
involves ensuring streamlined submission processes, compliance with
accessibility and privacy standards, and delivering a reliable user experience.
Key
Responsibilities
- Software Development & Documentation
- Design, develop, upgrade, test, and
implement software components for the STR portal.
- Document technical specifications,
system designs, and implementation details.
- Prepare user guides and maintain
design documents for portal functionality.
- Testing & Quality Assurance
- Conduct and document unit,
functional, integration, system, regression, and security testing.
- Analyse test results and prepare
reports for management and stakeholders.
- Track and resolve defects, issues,
and enhancement requests.
- Compliance & Security
- Ensure portal meets accessibility
standards (WCAG 2.x AA, AODA, WAI-ARIA).
- Comply with privacy regulations for
handling sensitive medical information.
- Support secure submission and
handling of confidential documentation.
- Collaboration & Support
- Troubleshoot and resolve
application issues related to functionality, data integrity, and user
access.
- Participate in planning and
estimation of development tasks.
- Collaborate with internal
stakeholders to meet evolving programme needs.
Qualifications
& Experience
Must Haves:
- 7+ years of extensive experience in
developing Single Page Applications using:
- HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery,
Bootstrap.
- Frameworks such as Backbone, React,
Stencil.js (Web Components).
- API integration with REST (JSON,
XML) APIs.
- Experience developing digital
products that comply with accessibility standards and/or best practices
(WCAG 2.x AA, AODA, WAI-ARIA) while optimizing accessibility features of
the platform (Web, iOS, Android)
- Proven ability to work independently on application
architecture and integration.
- Experience managing architecture diagrams,
technical documents, risk assessments, and QA/UAT feedback.
- Expertise in developing digital products that
comply with accessibility standards and best practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for
root cause analysis during outages.
- Experience with large-scale IT applications and
multidisciplinary project teams.
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science or
related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
