Senior Frontend Developer

As a Senior Frontend Developer, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and delivering modern digital experiences that support Moneris' next generation of products and services.
Working as a key contributor within a cross-functional Agile Scrum team, you will help shape the architecture, development, and delivery of a new Moneris product. You will leverage modern web and mobile technologies to build secure, scalable, and highly available applications while promoting engineering excellence, test automation, and continuous improvement.

You will work across modern web and mobile platforms using React, React Native, TypeScript, GitHub, and CI/CD practices while collaborating with Product, UX, Architecture, and Engineering leaders. This role offers the opportunity to build scalable digital products, champion quality and automation, contribute to architectural decisions, and continuously grow your expertise in emerging technologies and AI-enabled development practices.

Salary Range: The expected base salary range for this role is $100,000 - $142,000
Total compensation may also include variable or discretionary incentive components, including but not limited to bonuses and commissions. Individual job offers are determined by various factors, including experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
Your Moneris Career – What you'll do
Design, develop, test, and maintain web and mobile applications using React, React Native, and TypeScript.
Deliver secure, scalable, and highly available solutions that support business and customer needs.
Contribute to technical design reviews and solution architecture decisions.
Champion secure coding, Shift Left testing, code quality, and continuous improvement practices.
Develop and maintain automated unit, API, and user interface tests.
Ensure application quality through strong test coverage and automation strategies.
Leverage GitHub and GitHub Actions to support source control and CI/CD processes.
Collaborate with Product, UX, Architecture, and Engineering teams to deliver digital solutions.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent experience considered.
Proven experience developing modern web applications using React and TypeScript.
Experience developing cross-platform mobile applications using React Native.
Experience designing and delivering secure, scalable, and highly available software solutions.
Experience using GitHub, Git workflows, and GitHub Actions.
Experience developing automated tests across unit, API, and UI layers.
Strong understanding of frontend development practices, software design principles, and application architecture.
Experience working within Agile Scrum teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with native mobile development using Kotlin and/or Swift.
Experience developing Android applications.
Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
Experience building customer-facing digital products in enterprise environments.
Experience applying performance optimization and frontend security best practices.
Demonstrated interest in emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI).
