The Opportunity

The Data Specialist is innovative analytics professional with hands-on expertise in all facets of data product development and a driving passion for turning business challenges and needs into game-changing data products.

What to Expect
 

  • Actively contributes to the design of new and innovative data products for Commercial Insurance.
  • Analyze and evaluate new data sources based on business requirements.
  • Facilitate and participate in user story and requirement elaboration sessions.
  • Contribute to project management activities such as scoping, impact assessments, estimating efforts, and risk mitigation.
  • Work with business and engineering teams on test planning and validation.
  • Ensure data documentation, integrity monitoring, and governance.
  • Keep current on data and analytics tools and best practices.

What You Bring

  • University degree in Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1-3years of experience developing data and analytics products.
  • Experience with SQL and Python skills on cloud platforms.
  • Familiarity with Scala, Java, or C++ is an asset.
  • Experience with insurance processes and data products is an asset.
  • Familiarity with data science, machine learning, data visualization, and geospatial analytics.

Salary Range: $59,000-$$108,600
