As a Social Media Specialist, you will apply your experience and knowledge of best practices to help conceive of, execute and manage sophisticated and measurably effective social media campaigns on behalf of Viral Nation. The ideal candidate brings a great deal of creativity and curiosity to the team, is an avid consumer of pop culture and has a strong desire to be a collaborative force within the VN marketing team. Your primary objective is to support the growth of Viral Nation across social media and emerging social media platforms, build and engage the viral nation community of influencers, marketers and brands. 

What You'll Do Here:

  • Effectively plan and coordinate the creation of content (blogs, social posts etc) in collaboration with the marketing team
  • Conceive and execute content outlines and calendars that span the lifecycle of ongoing campaigns
  • Help to define and evolve workflow, procedures and tools, in order to increase team efficiency
  • Act as a frontline ambassador for Viral Nation and react to brand fans in real-time on a range of platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter and others, participating and helping shape online conversations
  • Multi-task to support multiple user communities for Viral Nation and ensure they are monitored in a timely and ongoing basis to drive engagement
  • Accountable for measurement and reporting across channels, ensuring any issues/complaints are addressed in a timely manner
  • Support client social media campaigns on an as needed basis

You'll Need To Have:

  • Strong social media management and strategy background, with 1-3 year’s experience at an in-house brand or agency
  • Knowledge of best practices in a general sense and an industry-specific one
  • Ability to deliver actionable insights through competitive social audits and social listening
  • Exceptional social-specific writing skills, copywriting etc. 
  • Understanding of paid social advertising to drive revenue, traffic and conversions
  • Experience using various social platforms to pull data, report on media and provide recommendations to further optimize VN campaigns
  • Tact and diplomacy when dealing with internal and external partners
