Job Description

Reporting into the Regional Manager, the Site Manager will supervise, lead and control, in part, operational tasks relating to the yard. They will respond effectively to quality and productivity and health and safety requirements. They will see to the planning of operations and collaborate with management to continuously optimize and improve processes.

What you're responsible for: 

  • Setting goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company’s plans and vision and communicate them to subordinates
  • Organizing workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks
  • Monitoring employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching
  • Maintaining timekeeping and personnel records
  • Sharing information from upper management to employees and vice versa
  • Preparing and submit performance reports
  • Ensuring adherence to legal and company policies and procedures
  • Undertaking disciplinary actions if the need arises
  • Leading by example as a hands-on manager

Qualifications

To join our team:

  • You have previous experience as supervisor or site manager
  • You have experience in metal scrap industry (considered an asset)
  • You have knowledge of different commercial trucks and forklifts
  • You have the ability to learn a variety of job descriptions
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • You have outstanding organizational and leadership skills
  • You have good knowledge of Outlook, MS Office, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel
  • You always strive for excellence and constant improvement
