Processes vendor payments, freight and rail invoices, three-way matches, accruals, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities. Resolves payment and billing discrepancies, supports vendors and internal stakeholders, verifies banking information, maintains audit-ready documentation, analyzes payment trends, assists with audits, and contributes to process improvements, training guides, reporting, and ad hoc accounting projects.

The Management Trainee completes a six-month rotation through call center, dispatch, purchasing, sales, marketing, customer service, operations, safety, training, and workplace incident investigations. The role develops leadership skills through hands-on work with frontline employees across Ontario sites. Trainees learn to lead yard and depollution operations, support retail and vehicle transactions, ensure documentation and compliance, coach employees, improve customer service, and prepare for future branch management responsibilities.

Support planning, coordination, execution, and closeout of mechanical and industrial projects. Prepare schedules, cost estimates, RFQs/tenders, procurement, site inspections, project reporting, equipment commissioning, and regulatory approvals. Coordinate contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and engineering standards. Travel to AIM sites in Canada and the U.S. as required.

Supervise yard operations, set performance goals, organize workflow, monitor productivity, maintain personnel records, enforce policies, prepare reports, coach staff, and lead by example to improve processes and safety.

Serves as the first HR contact for employees, supports onboarding and offboarding, welcomes new hires, and processes employee changes such as transfers, promotions, and leaves. Maintains employee data and files, enters time and attendance information, produces HR reports, and helps improve HR processes. Collaborates with Employee Services, Payroll, Benefits, and the broader HR team while handling sensitive information confidentially.

Sort and segregate ferrous and non-ferrous materials, operate recycling machinery, inspect and load or unload customer vehicles, depollute vehicles, maintain equipment and work areas, and follow safety procedures in a physically demanding industrial environment.

Perform hands-on dismantling and recycling tasks in the yard: remove and inspect tires, separate and sort rims for resale or scrap, use hand tools or machinery, stack and store inventory, and assist with yard cleanup and debris removal.

Support transactional finance operations including accounts payable, billing, settlements, reconciliations, payments, and reporting. Validate documentation, perform 3-way matching, investigate discrepancies, maintain customer/vendor data, assist month-end/year-end close and audits, generate operational reports, and contribute to process improvements.

Receive, sort and organize non-ferrous and ferrous metals; weigh and track materials using the RECY system; maintain site equipment and premises; operate forklifts and cranes as required; provide customer service and work with a safety-first mindset.

Rotational Emerging Leader program exposing recent graduates to operations, logistics, finance, procurement, HR, and sales. Participants learn yard operations, transportation/dispatch, contract and inventory processes, supplier and vendor management, onboarding and talent acquisition, and customer relationship management to prepare for roles in Operations, Finance, or Commercial teams.
