Your Moneris Career - The Opportunity

The Senior Relationship Manager is responsible for managing and growing relationships with Moneris’ partner financial institutions. You will help strengthen these strategic partnerships by managing run-the-business activities (RTB), supporting key initiatives, and identifying opportunities to drive business growth, increase referrals, improve operational effectiveness, and enhance collaboration between Moneris and its partner banks.


Location: You will be based in our Etobicoke office, balancing in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.

Reporting Relationship: You will report to Director, Financial Institutions Relations.

Posting Type: Replacement.

Salary Range: The expected base salary range for this role is $118,000-$147,000.


Total compensation may also include variable or discretionary incentive components, including but not limited to bonuses and commissions. Individual job offers are determined by various factors, including experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.


Your Moneris Career - What you'll do

  • Build and manage relationships with partner bank stakeholders, developing a strong understanding of the partner bank and Moneris team structures, operating models, priorities, and objectives.
  • Manage ongoing business requests between Moneris and partner bank(s), engaging the appropriate stakeholders to resolve issues, address concerns, and maintain effective day-to-day operations.
  • Identify and advance opportunities for partnership growth, including cross-selling, joint marketing initiatives, onboarding enhancements, new offers, and improvements to referral and lead handoff processes.
  • Partner with subject matter experts across both organizations to improve the quality and volume of bank referrals, reduce friction in the sales process, and identify operational efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with the VP, Business Development and Director, Relations FI to develop annual referral plans, growth targets, strategic priorities, and longer-term initiatives for partner bank relationships.
  • Monitor partnership performance and key metrics, translating data and insights into opportunities to improve referral volume, sales conversion, revenue performance, and overall partnership effectiveness.
  • Coordinate recurring business reviews and the annual bank partner survey, bringing together internal and partner stakeholders to assess performance, identify opportunities, and implement improvement actions.
  • Monitor relevant payment industry, banking, market, and regulatory developments and assess their potential impact on partner relationships and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate across Moneris teams to support the delivery of partner-related services, projects, and business initiatives, while sharing insights and best practices across the Financial Institutions team.

Required skills and experience

  • University degree in Business or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered as a substitute.
  • 7 years of experience in relationship management, business development, or a similar role.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving business growth and achieving targets.
  • Business acumen and analytical experience assessing business performance, identifying opportunities, and using insights to support business decisions.
  • Experience influencing stakeholders and delivering outcomes without direct authority.
  • Experience managing multiple projects with competing deadlines and coordinating resources to meet timelines.
  • Experience managing highly confidential information.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
