This is a contract running from Fall to March 31, 2027.


Location: Montreal, Toronto or Ottawa (occasional travel required)


This role is a hybrid work arrangement. Work schedule to be discussed with the Hiring Manager according to the guidelines defined by the department.


Your Role


Reporting to the ESG Procurement Advisor, you will play a key role in exploring and structuring our national procurement policies in relation to the "Buy Canadian" implementation initiative. You will influence our purchasing strategies to align them with the reality of our public broadcaster and our strategic commitments (Environmental Sustainability, EDI, Indigenous Relations, Accessibility, and the Fighting Against Forced and Child Labour Act).


Key Responsibilities


  • Analysis & Strategy: Assess the impact of the Buy Canadian initiative on our costs, processes, guidelines, and supplier relationships.
  • Tool & Policy Development: Draft and adapt policies, while creating the processes, guides, and training needed for seamless operational implementation.
  • Advisory & Recommendations: Formulate actionable proposals and present recommendations to management and operational teams.
  • Collaboration & Risk Management: Partner closely with Finance, Legal, and Procurement teams while managing risks to ensure a resilient supply chain aligned with ESG objectives and Indigenous reconciliation.
  • Monitoring: Help measure progress regarding the integration of Canadian value into our procurement processes and financial systems.

Your Profile


  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in procurement policy analysis, strategic procurement advisory, or procurement project management.
  • Core Skills: Strong analytical mindset and ability to synthesize complex concepts into practical tools and recommendations.
  • Writing Expertise: Proven experience drafting policies, procedural documents, and operational process guides.
  • ESG & EDI Awareness: Solid understanding of sustainability, supplier diversity, and Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) principles.
  • Key Strengths: Strong interpersonal skills, ability to influence stakeholders, a solution-oriented mindset, and proficiency with data/office tools (Google Workspace, Excel, presentation software).
  • Languages: Fully bilingual (French and English, spoken and written).

Assets: Experience in public procurement, procurement policy management, or trade agreements.
