You will process payroll, audit time records and ensure that all new hire and change form entries are accurately recorded. What you will be doing- Processes payroll within Company assigned frequencies, which includes compiling payroll data such as hours worked, taxes, insurance, and withholding union dues, and preparing and issuing paychecks.
- Processes timely and accurate wage assignments, garnishments, child support orders, and employment verifications.
- Audits all system entries for new hires, status and compensation change and termination submissions with the support of the HR Data Entry team.
- Responds and resolves payroll inquiries in a timely and compliance manner and within prescribed methods.
- Analyzes payroll reports such as Job Costs, Gross Payroll Registers, Vacation Reports to ensure accurate and timely tracking and accruals.
- Supports reconciliation of outstanding payroll checks with the corporate Accounting team.
- High School diploma/GED required.
- 5+ years’ experience with payroll processing.
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field preferred.
- Union, Construction, Hourly and Salary payroll knowledge required.
- Able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Technical expertise regarding payroll processing, resolution methodology and client communications.
- Able to effectively and efficiently facilitate complex payroll processing.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite of products preferred.
- Above average planning and organizational skills preferred.
