The Opportunity:

Our business is growing rapidly, with the volume and complexity of new customer deals and strategic partnerships growing each year. We consider Managed Services an extension of an implementation life cycle for every customer. A successful candidate will join us scale our infrastructure services in the managed service business. The candidate will help improving and maintaining the cloud infrastructure for an exposure management platform and mission critical desktop trading application, which is used by a growing global customer base of asset owners and fund managers. 

About Matrix Managed Service:

Matrix Managed Service is responsible for managing the infrastructure, application, and data delivery for each of our customers. A typical managed service is at least as much about processes and implementing change as it is about investments & technology.

As part of the Matrix Managed Service – the candidate will be joining a growing team of technical specialists who support the Investment Management Platform which is hosted on Azure. The candidate will support implementation teams and customers to resolve any infrastructure related issues and expect to work on a variety of initiatives including improving stability of infrastructure and automation pipelines, developing enhancements and rollouts of new product releases.

The role is both technical and analytical and will involve working with multiple customers.

What you will do:

  • Provide infrastructure support for Matrix Application. This includes providing quick resolutions to Azure DevOps pipeline issues, infrastructure issues, application issues, driving stability, efficiency, and effectiveness improvements to help us and the business succeed
  • Act as regional point of contact for Infrastructure & Azure DevOps issues for USCA (US & Canada) customers
  • Improve and maintain internal and customer DevOps pipelines
  • Develop and maintain technical support documentation for infrastructure services
  • Identifies ways to maximize the potential of the infrastructure services
  • Assess risk and impact of infrastructure issues and escalate to business and technology management in a timely manner. Ex: Azure cloud changes, Azure CLI or PowerShell tooling changes
  • Formulates and defines scope and objectives for complex infrastructure enhancements and problem resolution
  • Partners with appropriate implementation and product teams to prioritize bug fixes and support tooling requirements
  • Participate in application releases, from development, testing and deployment into production
  • Engages in post implementation analysis to ensure successful system design and functionality
  • Ensures essential procedures are followed and helps to define operating standards and processes
  • Acts as advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts
  • Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complicated and unique situations
  • Exhibits sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills to exchange complex information
  • Active involvement in and ownership of Support Project items, covering Stability, Efficiency, and Effectiveness initiatives
  • Performs other duties and functions as assigned
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy

Who you are:

  • 5-7+years’ experience in Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps and Software Development using .NET Framework
  • Strong communication skills to communicate to customers and relevant internal stakeholders
  • Willingness/ability to learn
  • Advanced execution capabilities and ability to adjust quickly to changes and re-prioritization
  • Effective written and verbal communications including ability to explain technical issues in simple terms that non-IT staff can understand
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Issue tracking and reporting using tools
  • Good all-round technical skills
  • Effectively share information with other support team members and with other technology teams
  • Ability to plan and organize workload

Technical Skills Required

Essential:

  • Azure Cloud (AZ-900 Certified)
  • IaC experience using Azure CLI, PowerShell, Bicep or ARM templates
  • Azure DevOps
  • .NET – C#
  • Microsoft SQL Server and proficiency in T-SQL

Desirable:

  • Advanced Azure Cloud (any of the following AZ-103, AZ-203, AZ-400, AZ-300)
  • IaC experience using Azure Bicep
  • Application monitoring using App Insight or any other similar tools
  • WPF
  • Excel
  • Excel VBA
  • TypeScript
