Senior Designer, Portfolio

At Kraft Heinz Design, we believe creativity has the power to make ideas unforgettable. We're looking for a Senior Designer to join our Portfolio Team and help shape the visual expression of seasonal campaigns across some of the world's most iconic brands.

This role sits at the intersection of brand, retail, and shopper experience. Working alongside the Kitchen, Creative Directors, Art Directors, Copywriters, and Strategists, you'll develop the visual systems that bring big ideas to life—from campaign identities and brand guidelines to immersive in-store experiences. This role reports directly to the Head of Design at Kraft Heinz.

This is more than a design execution role. We're looking for a Sr. Designer who thinks strategically, crafts beautifully, and understands how a single creative idea can come to life seamlessly across retail, shopper marketing, and every consumer touchpoint.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the design development of seasonal “Portfolio” campaigns across Kraft Heinz brands.
  • Create campaign visual identities, design systems, and comprehensive brand guidelines that enable ideas to scale consistently across retail and marketing channels.
  • Design engaging retail experiences, including point-of-sale materials, merchandising, displays, environmental graphics, packaging extensions, and promotional assets.
  • Partner closely with Creative Directors, Art Directors, Copywriters, Strategists, Brand Teams, and Retail Marketing to transform big creative ideas into exceptional visual experiences.
  • Build flexible design toolkits that can be adapted across multiple retailers, brands, and seasonal campaigns while maintaining creative consistency.
  • Ensure every execution balances world-class creative with retail realities, shopper behavior, production requirements, and speed to market.
  • Champion design craft through exceptional typography, composition, color, and attention to detail.
  • Present design work with confidence, clearly articulating the strategic thinking and creative rationale behind your solutions.
  • Mentor and inspire other designers through collaboration, feedback, and a commitment to raising the quality of creative across the team.
  • Stay ahead of design, retail, and cultural trends to continually evolve how our brands show up in-store.

What You'll Bring

  • Significant experience in graphic design, branding, retail design, or shopper marketing, ideally within an agency or in-house creative environment.
  • A portfolio showcasing exceptional visual craft across brand identity, campaign design, retail environments, and integrated marketing.
  • Proven experience developing brand guidelines, campaign toolkits, and scalable design systems.
  • Strong understanding of retail environments and how consumers interact with brands at the point of purchase.
  • Expert knowledge of typography, layout, color, composition, and visual storytelling.
  • The ability to think conceptually while executing with precision and an exceptional level of craft.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Experience with Figma is an asset.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary creative teams.
  • A passion for mentoring others and elevating the creative standard through thoughtful feedback and collaboration.

What Success Looks Like

  • Seasonal campaigns that deliver a distinctive and memorable retail presence.
  • Design systems and brand guidelines that enable creative ideas to scale consistently across brands, retailers, and consumer touchpoints.
  • Beautifully crafted retail experiences that strengthen brand identity and drive shopper engagement.
  • Creative work that raises the design standard across the Portfolio Team.
  • Trusted partnerships with creative, strategy, and brand stakeholders built on collaboration, curiosity, and design excellence.
  • Ability to bring concepts that pull media to shelf and extend into culture.
  • A penchant for delivering creative ideas and concepts surpassing the brief/ask.

At Kraft Heinz Design and in The Kitchen, we believe the best ideas don't end with the campaign—they continue wherever consumers experience our brands. As a Senior Designer, you'll help define how those ideas come to life in-store, creating visual experiences that connect creativity with commerce and turn everyday shopping moments into unforgettable brand experiences.

The Kitchen and Kraft Heinz are committed to Equal Employment Opportunity and to attracting and retaining the most qualified employees regardless of race, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender, age, or disability.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $85,000- 95,000. Individual compensation within this range is determined based on job-related factors such as experience, skills, level of responsibility, internal equity, and business needs.
