Flynn Group of Companies is seeking an experienced Senior Curtainwall Designer to join our Mississauga office! This senior‑level technical role plays a critical part in the design, coordination, and execution of complex curtainwall systems, supporting project teams from concept through fabrication and delivery. This position has been created to support Flynn’s continued growth and increasing project complexity. This position is in-office Monday-Friday from 7:30am-4:30pm.

- Design and develop curtainwall systems from concept through fabrication
- Prepare, review, and oversee technical, shop, and fabrication drawings
- Interpret architectural, structural, and specification documents
- Identify and resolve basic and advanced curtainwall detailing issues
- Ensure designs meet project requirements, constructability standards, and industry codes
- Collaborate closely with Estimating, Project Managers, and Construction teams
- Support project delivery from a design and technical perspective
- Mentor and support junior design team members as required
- Ensure all aspects of the project have been addressed and conveyed into the final shop drawing package
- Demonstrate understanding of building science, construction, and sequencing in all design deliverables
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in a senior design role within the curtainwall / façade industry
- Proven senior‑level designer capability with the ability to work independently
- Strong technical knowledge of façade and curtainwall systems
- Post‑secondary diploma or degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Building Science
- Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications
- Highly organized, analytical, and solution‑driven with strong problem‑solving skills
- Proficiency with:
- AutoCAD (required)
- Inventor and/or Revit (required)
