Lead and grow a Canadian B2B industrial sales team, develop and execute strategic sales plans, expand customer base, negotiate deals, resolve quality/service issues, track KPIs and forecasts, and use CRM and Office tools to manage pipeline and optimize strategies. Travel 30–40%.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and direct a team of high-performing individuals in all aspects of account management to meet company growth and profitability targets.
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Identify, target, and build relationships with key prospects in alignment with company goals.
- Maintain and expand the company's existing customer base across all product lines to achieve growth objectives.
- Negotiate and structure deals with key partners and customers.
- Investigate and troubleshoot quality and customer service issues and identify solutions.
- Passionately communicate our brand identity and implement company initiatives.
- Track and report on key performance indicators, including sales revenue & customer acquisition metrics.
- Provide regular sales forecasts to inform organizational planning.
- Use CRM software to document client interactions, manage pipeline, and analyze sales data to optimize strategies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum five years of B2B industrial sales / sales management or distribution sales experience, preferably with industrial-oriented UN packaging.
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred but will consider candidates with appropriate experience in lieu of a college degree.
- Demonstrated success in exceeding sales targets and cultivating long-term client relationships.
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, and effective listening skills.
- Strong sales hunter mentality with passion to succeed.
- Strong prospecting and account qualification skills.
- Proven ability to develop and implement sales strategies.
- Ability to develop a comprehensive understanding of financial and business plans.
- Ability to work in a team environment with senior management as well as plant-level employees.
- Must be comfortable in office, factory and warehouse environments.
- Ability to work with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel (pivot-table experience a plus) and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work in a high-stress environment with the ability to problem solve, prioritize and react quickly.
- Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
- Familiarity with CRM tools like Salesforce, or similar platforms.
- Ability to travel 30-40% of the time.
