Supports Mars Snacking sales operations through account management, promotional planning, deal sheet and deduction tracking, POS and consumption reporting, forecasting coordination, and customer business analysis. The role manages merchant relationships, provides category insights, supports pricing and launches, identifies account opportunities, and consolidates retail execution feedback while collaborating with sales and supply teams.
Job Description:
The Sales Analyst will support the Mars Snacking team, ensuring all operational needs of the business are executed effectively and efficiently to deliver on overall segment objectives and mutually aligned customer business plans (i.e. deal sheets, tracking/tool maintenance, deductions, POS reporting). They will manage customer relationships with Merchants to resolve and ensure accurate execution.
The Sales Analyst will provide the customer with category information in support of growth through management of all Sales fundamentals (Distribution, Display, Shelf, Price, Promotions) against annual business priorities as well as manage day to day relationship directly internally/externally. They will leverage multi-functional resource alignment to maximize customer engagement and participate in determining strategy by anticipating and advocating for customer needs.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- CPG experience preferred
- Understanding of key software enablers such as Nielsen.
- Fluent understanding of forecasting and trade management system
- Excellent customer business management skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Category management experience & strong analytical skills an asset
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Supports team with day-to-day operational account management support leveraging increased levels of technology and improving processes to drive efficiency. Maintains and tracks business support tools. (promotional deal sheet approvals, ad grids, deduction management, consumption reporting sales tool updating)
- Executes against customer business plans to deliver all business segment objectives. Including price and promotional planning, and new launches.
- Provides the team with recommendations on account business opportunities, supported with analysis rooted in facts and data. Summarizes and communicates key learnings form past executions.
- Understand customer plans and their impact on internal/external forecasts, while collaborating with internal Supply Team to improve overall forecast accuracy and plan execution.
- Provides timely information, category expertise and priorities, along with retail organizers to the retail sales organization in addition to consolidating and reporting on retail feedback on executional issues and opportunities.
