About The Opportunity

Expected Compensation: $23.50 per hour

The Quality Lead at Menasha Packaging is a hands-on role responsible for overseeing the Quality Department, establishing programs and activities to ensure compliance with Business Quality Systems.

Essential Job Functions

The following duties are normal for this position.  The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties however; it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list.  Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Conduct root cause analysis investigations for quality department failures
  • Ensure that all aspects of the handling, packaging and shipping of finished goods products comply with the requirements and meet all relevant GMP regulatory requirements
  • Ensure that Quality responsibilities for internal and regulatory audits, investigations, regulatory document reviews, SOPs, change control documentation (including validation and verification), and other Quality related systems are properly implemented, conducted and documented
  • Edit status of customer product, components, WIP and finished product (hold/quarantine/release)
  • Audit work packets, verify quantities, signatures, and required documentation  
  • Complete incoming inspections
  • Maintain and file required documentation (work packets, label inspections, etc.)
  • Assist the Operations department personnel as needed
  • Ensures and supports to make sure Food safety, Quality, HACCP and GMP is always followed
  • Other duties as required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Problem solver and team player
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of office equipment
  • Ability to understand and use all applicable aspects of WMS
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of simple math
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products

Education & Experience

  • High School diploma required
  • Bachelor’s degree desired (Preferably Science/Food/Pharma)
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience required

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Sitting on a regular basis
  • Standing, stooping, walking, and lifting required
  • Must be aware of surroundings at all times as there is moving equipment
  • Position may be based at Menasha Packaging site or customer location
