Who we need

Reporting to the IT Business Integration Manager, we are hiring a Project Manager, IT to lead technology initiatives from business need through implementation and closure. As our new Project Manager, IT, you will bring structure, visibility, and accountability to projects while also working directly with business and technology stakeholders to understand problems, map processes, define requirements, evaluate solution options, and ensure technology initiatives deliver their intended business outcomes. You will connect business needs with technology delivery, coordinating teams and external partners through planning, solution design, development or configuration, testing, implementation, adoption, and operational handover. You will also contribute to consistent project and portfolio governance, helping strengthen how technology initiatives are prioritized, managed, and delivered across Array.

This is a newly created, full-time hybrid role based in Scarborough, with an expectation of working onsite three days per week.

What’s in it for you

Own the connection between business needs and technology. You will have the opportunity to play a key role in how Array turns business challenges into practical technology solutions. You will work across discovery, requirements, solution evaluation, project delivery, and implementation, giving you ownership of the full journey from identifying the right problem to ensuring the solution delivers meaningful results.

Influence how projects are delivered. You will bring structure and consistency to technology initiatives while helping strengthen project standards, governance, reporting, and portfolio practices across Array. You will have the opportunity to introduce practical improvements, challenge assumptions, and help teams make clearer decisions about priorities, solutions, risks, and trade-offs.

Breadth, visibility, and impact. You will work across business and IT teams, Business Analysts, Business Systems Analysts, technical specialists, external partners, and senior leaders on initiatives that span the organization. You will gain broad exposure to business processes, enterprise technology, systems integration, and organizational change while helping ensure technology investments translate into practical improvements and measurable business outcomes.

As our new Project Manager, IT, you will:

  • Lead projects from business need through implementation. You will take ownership of IT and technology-enabled business projects from initiation through closure, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, resources, and budgets. You will develop and maintain integrated project plans, manage competing priorities, and keep work moving against agreed objectives and business outcomes.
  • Understand the problem and define what is needed. You will work directly with stakeholders to understand business objectives, pain points, processes, and expected outcomes. You will lead discovery and requirements sessions, document current- and future-state processes, identify gaps and dependencies, and translate business needs into clear business, functional, system, and integration requirements.
  • Connect requirements to practical technology solutions. You will work with technical teams and external partners to evaluate solution options, considering areas such as configuration, integration, architecture, build-versus-buy, and cloud versus on-premises approaches. You will challenge assumptions, distinguish business requirements from preferred solutions, and help ensure the team is solving the right problem.
  • Coordinate solution delivery and implementation. You will bring together business and technology teams through solution design, development or configuration, integration, testing, and implementation. You will coordinate test scenarios, user acceptance testing, business acceptance, defect resolution, go-live criteria, operational ownership, and handover so solutions are ready to be adopted and supported.
  • Manage risk, decisions, and delivery visibility. You will proactively manage project risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, changes, and competing priorities. You will lead project status meetings, provide clear visibility into project health and delivery risks, and escalate issues when leadership decisions or trade-offs are required.
  • Strengthen project and portfolio governance. You will support IT demand intake, prioritization, and portfolio planning while bringing consistency to project standards, templates, reporting, and governance. You will facilitate Steering Committee and project governance meetings, document decisions and accountabilities, and support leadership with the information needed to make prioritization and investment decisions.
  • Support adoption and continuous improvement. You will coordinate business readiness, communications, training, and post-implementation stabilization to support adoption. You will establish clear measures of success, track delivery and business outcomes, and capture lessons learned to continuously improve how technology initiatives are delivered.

You have:

  • The project delivery experience. You have experience leading IT or technology-enabled business projects through planning, implementation, and closure. You can build practical project plans, manage scope, budgets, risks, dependencies, and competing priorities, and keep cross-functional teams focused on delivering agreed outcomes.
  • The business analysis capability. You are comfortable working directly with stakeholders to understand business problems, processes, and desired outcomes and translating them into clear requirements. You can document current- and future-state processes, identify gaps and dependencies, develop requirements documentation, process flows, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and maintain traceability from business need through solution and testing.
  • The technology understanding. You understand enterprise technology environments and how business requirements connect to systems, integrations, and technology solutions. You are comfortable working with technical specialists and partners across solution design, configuration or development, integrations, testing, implementation, and operational handover.
  • The delivery toolkit. You understand Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project delivery approaches and can adapt your approach to the needs of the initiative. You are comfortable using project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar. PMP certification is preferred, while additional project, Agile, or IT service management certifications are an asset.
  • The stakeholder skills. You build trusted relationships across business and technology teams and can influence without direct authority. You are comfortable facilitating discovery sessions, navigating competing priorities, challenging assumptions constructively, and bringing stakeholders together to make decisions and move projects forward.
  • The communication and judgment. You can turn complex business and technology information into clear, concise communication for different audiences, including senior leaders. You know when to ask questions, surface risks, escalate issues, and help teams make practical trade-offs.
  • The adaptability. You are organized, proactive, and comfortable working through ambiguity. You can introduce structure without being rigid, adjust your approach as requirements evolve, and share knowledge and practical best practices to help strengthen project delivery across the IT team.

Compensation:

The salary range for this role is $80,000-$100,000 Compensation is thoughtfully determined based on your experience, skill set, and alignment with our internal compensation framework. We’re always happy to answer questions about compensation throughout the hiring process.
