The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading the successful delivery of strategic and operational technology initiatives across the organisation. This role drives the planning, execution, governance, and implementation of technology projects that support business growth, operational excellence, digital transformation, and enhanced customer and employee experiences.

Working closely with business and technology stakeholders, the incumbent will ensure projects deliver measurable business value while aligning to organisational strategy and operational objectives. Experience delivering enterprise-wide technology transformations, system implementations, integrations, and digital initiatives is essential. Exposure to HR, People & Culture technology projects would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Execution

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of strategic and operational IT projects.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, resources, risks, and dependencies.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards.
  • Drive technology-enabled transformation initiatives and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Oversees a programme portfolio, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Tracks, monitors and reports on project and programme progress to ensure successful execution.
  • Identify and manages project and programme interdependencies, risks, issues, decisions and change requests.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Build strong relationships with business leaders, executive stakeholders, technology teams, cross collaboration with other portfolio teams and external partners.
  • Facilitate weekly project status meetings, governance forums, workshops, and steering committee meetings.
  • Provide regular project reporting, including progress, risks, and outcomes.
  • Manage third-party vendors and implementation partners to ensure successful delivery.

Governance, Risk & Change Management

  • Establish and maintain effective project governance and controls.
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Ensure compliance with project methodologies, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support organisational change management, business readiness, and user adoption activities.
  • Monitor post-implementation outcomes and benefits realisation.
  • Conform in PMO quality assurance, to ensure project deliverables are being met.
  • Adhere to project and programme management compliance (collaborating with commercials and legal).

Academic Qualification & Certifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, SAP Activate, Agile, Scrum Master, or equivalent) preferred.

Experience Required

  • 10+ years' experience managing medium to large-scale IT projects.
  • Proven experience delivering complex enterprise, and digitized transformation initiatives in the IT technology stack.
  • Experience managing vendors, implementation partners, and cross-functional teams.
  • Exposure to digital transformations, such as ERP, CRM, HRIS, ServiceNow and/or enterprise systems projects.
  • Experience within large corporate or enterprise technology environments advantageous.

Technical Knowledge

  • Project lifecycle management and governance (SLDC or ITIL).
  • SAP Activate, Agile, Waterfall, and/or Hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Enterprise systems and technology implementations.
  • Risk, compliance, quality assurance and change management.
  • Business process improvement and transformation initiatives.
