About the Role

JUMBO is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of technology initiatives that support our retail operations and business growth. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with excellent project management skills and has experience working with enterprise applications, cross-functional teams, and external technology partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end IT projects from initiation through planning, execution, testing, implementation, and post-go-live support.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation while ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, business users, and external vendors to ensure successful project execution.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, translating them into effective technology solutions.
  • Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests while proactively communicating project status.
  • Support system implementations, user acceptance testing (UAT), user training, and change management activities.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of enterprise systems.
  • Monitor project performance, track milestones, and provide regular updates to management.
  • Ensure adherence to project management best practices, governance standards, and documentation requirements.
  • Build strong relationships across business units to understand operational needs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing Information Technology (IT) projects, with a strong technical background and understanding of enterprise systems.
  • Proven experience managing the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, implementation, monitoring, and successful delivery within established timelines and budgets.
  • Experience working with external IT vendors, technology partners, and service providers.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with AS/400 (IBM i) systems; hands-on implementation or application support experience is considered a strong asset.
  • Experience leading system implementations, user training, testing, change management, and post-implementation support.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Experience with enterprise applications such as ERP, POS, WMS, or other retail systems is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with business stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, results-oriented, and accountable with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Experience working in cross-functional and multicultural environments is considered an asset.
  • Availability to work full-time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the retail industry or omnichannel retail environments.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
  • Experience managing enterprise software implementations and system integrations.

Salary Range: $100,000 – $116,000
