Who We Are

SWTCH is pioneering EV charging solutions for multifamily and commercial properties across North America. Since 2016, our team of entrepreneurs, energy professionals, and technologists has been focused on unlocking the social, economic, and environmental benefits of widespread EV adoption. Today, our solutions are deployed in tens of thousands of locations —many of which are low-to-moderate income housing—helping to make clean mobility accessible for all.

With an expanding footprint across Canada and the U.S., we’re scaling quickly and looking for mission-driven talent to help accelerate our growth.

Job Opportunity

We are looking for a dedicated, hard-working Product Manager who will be a key part of the SWTCH development team. You will be overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and beyond. As a tremendous resource on the team, you will bring new and thoughtful self-care solutions to our customers – this will include managing the product backlog, prioritizing the various product, market, customer, and organization needs to successfully deliver a large and complex product enhancement, and drive the go-to-market function for the product organization.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop Product Requirements: You don’t just write tickets; you craft the blueprint for our success. You will take ownership of the "what" and the "why," ensuring every requirement is rooted in user needs and technical feasibility.

  • The Details + The Care: Create precise requirements (PRDs) that account for every edge case with a genuine focus on making the charging experience seamless and reliable for our users.
  • The AI Edge: Proactively use AI tools to analyze user feedback, simulate complex workflows, and identify logic gaps before development begins to ensure our solutions are future-proof.

2. Ensure High-Quality Delivery: At SWTCH, "shipped" is not the same as "done." You are the guardian of quality, working side-by-side with developers to ensure the final product matches the vision.

  • Attention to Detail: Lead meticulous testing and partner with engineering to resolve technical hurdles, ensuring every feature is polished, bug-free, and reliable before it reaches the field.
  • Continuous Learning: Obsessively monitor post-launch performance and gather feedback to ensure we are delivering the right outcomes, treating every release as an opportunity to iterate and improve.

3. Communicate Knowledge Internally & Externally: You are the primary storyteller for your product area. You translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives for all stakeholders.

  • Internal Evangelism: Keep the entire organization aligned and inspired by clearly communicating the product roadmap, progress, and strategic wins across departments.
  • External Thought Leadership: Create simple, high-impact documentation and presentations that explain the value of our technology—from smart load management to bidirectional charging—to our customers and the industry.

Requirements

Job Qualification:

  • Proven PM Track Record: 3–5+ years of experience in Product Management, ideally within SaaS, IoT, or GreenTech.
  • AI-Forward Mindset: Proficiency in using AI (LLMs, prompt engineering) to accelerate your workflow and a vision for how AI can improve the user experience for EV drivers.
  • Obsession with Detail: A natural "quality-first" instinct. You are the person who catches the missing edge cases and inconsistencies that others miss.
  • A Culture of Care: High emotional intelligence. You care about the "human" impact of your work—from the developer’s workflow to the driver’s experience at the charger.
  • Continuous Learner: An active, documented passion for staying ahead of industry trends and a hunger to constantly level up your skills in a fast-moving market.

Bonus Points (Nice to Have)

  • Technical Fluency: A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field that allows you to engage deeply with developers on architectural trade-offs and infrastructure constraints.

Benefits
  • Business Impact - As a core member of the team, you have the opportunity to take a supporting role and make a significant impact on the culture and values of the company.
  • Environmental Impact - We are a clean energy company with a mission to reduce carbon emissions globally to ensure a clean and sustainable future.
  • Diversity - People develop their talents and skills in different ways. We value different paths and experiences. If you think you meet the qualifications we are seeking, take a chance and express your interest here.
