Capco is seeking a Disaster Recovery Consultant to join our Banking & Payments practice in Toronto. In this role, you will help clients strengthen their technology resilience by developing, maintaining, and validating disaster recovery capabilities across business-critical applications, infrastructure, and technology services. You will work closely with technology, cyber, infrastructure, operational resilience, and business stakeholders to ensure recovery strategies are robust, well-tested, and aligned with regulatory expectations.
What You’ll Do- Develop, maintain, and execute disaster recovery plans for critical applications, infrastructure, systems, data, and technology services, ensuring recovery readiness across complex environments.
- Coordinate disaster recovery planning and testing activities, defining recovery objectives, technical dependencies, recovery sequencing, test scope, execution readiness, and evidence collection.
- Support recovery activities across technology services, including application, infrastructure, data centre, and cyber recovery scenarios while collaborating with cross-functional technology and business teams.
- Track disaster recovery test outcomes, risks, issues, remediation activities, and unresolved gaps through to resolution or formal risk acceptance.
- Produce disaster recovery governance documentation, executive reporting, recovery dashboards, playbooks, and evidence to support assurance, audit, and operational resilience requirements.
- Experience delivering Disaster Recovery or Technology Resilience programmes within financial services, banking, or highly regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of disaster recovery planning, recovery objectives (RTO/RPO), dependency mapping, recovery testing, governance, and operational resilience principles.
- Experience collaborating with application owners, infrastructure teams, cyber security, technology risk, business continuity, and senior stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to present recovery readiness and risk reporting to leadership audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality documentation, reporting, and recovery coordination activities.
- Experience supporting cyber recovery exercises or data centre recovery programmes.
- Knowledge of financial services regulatory expectations relating to operational resilience and disaster recovery.
- Experience with enterprise governance, risk, or resilience tooling.
- Industry certifications relating to Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, IT Service Management, or Cloud technologies.
- Previous consulting experience delivering technology resilience engagements for Tier 1 financial institutions.
- Deliver high-impact technology solutions for Tier 1 financial institutions.

The salary range for this position is listed below. Additionally, this position may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary/variable bonus payment.
