Job Description
We are currently seeking a professional P&ID Drafter to join our process engineering team at our Corporate Engineering department located in Brampton, ON. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) according to IKO standards, working closely with various teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

When You Join Us, You Will
-
Create P&ID drawings based on markup (PFD, plant survey, equipment documents, etc.) from various IKO plants according to IKO P&ID standards
-
Generate and update P&ID reports and access information using AutoCAD Plant 3D Data Manager, under the direction of the P&ID Development Program
-
Incorporate changes into existing P&ID drawings, under the direction of the P&ID Development Program
-
Work on multiple projects according to the schedule on assigned projects

Use Autodesk Vault to assist with revision control and the ECO process

Collaborate with the Mechanical Piping Design teams to update and maintain the accuracy of P&ID drawings and Plant 3D report lists

Provide guidance and support to coop students, as required

Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
-
Proficiency in P&ID drafting and AutoCAD with 2-5 years of experience
-
College diploma or university degree in Piping or Mechanical Design/Mechanical Technology or equivalent

Sufficient knowledge of P&ID standards, piping design standards, and experience in piping layout design
-
Experience with one or more smart P&ID systems or software is preferred
-
Experience using AutoCAD Plant 3D P&ID toolset is considered a strong asset

Experience in industries that use asphalt and/or hot oil is an asset.

Ability to function and complete tasks independently with minimal supervision

Excellent drafting technique, with a demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy

Strong written and verbal communication skills
