Marmon Industrial Water designs and manufacturers water and wastewater treatment equipment solutions, under the brand names Graver Water Systems and Ecodyne. Our technologies included raw water pretreatment, filtration, ion exchange, demineralization, degasification, hot lime softening, boiler make-up, condensate polishing, wastewater treatment, cooling, and oil/water separation for markets such as petrochemical/chemical, power generation and heavy industrial plants.

In this hands-on role, the Network Administrator will provide essential IT support and proactive solutions to the MIW team to enable business success,.  Based in Burlington Ontario, the role will support multiple locations in Canada and US.  The Network Administrator is responsible for the execution of technical solutions within Marmon Industrial Water’s strategic framework.  This position works closely with the Director of IT and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust and scalable architectures. 

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and design innovative technical solutions.
  • ERP Advocacy: Evaluate internal ERP opportunities as a first solution option where possible and steer solutions to leverage internally negotiated system modules.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and challenges in proposed architectures and develop mitigation.
  • Documentation: Create comprehensive architecture documentation, including diagrams, specifications, and technical design documents.
  • Collaboration: Listen, support, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure deadline-driven successful implementations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency, scalability, and performance of our solutions.
  • Implement solutions that comply with IT-related policies and all Marmon IT Standard Practice Instructions (SPIs).
  • Experience with EDR, MDR, and Spam Filtering software (i.e. Abnormal Security)
  • Act as the local resource to troubleshoot and deploy hardware to employees as needed.
  • Responds to urgent issues impacting the business’s ability to function efficiently.
  • Champion Marmon initiatives related to IT compliance and security.
  • Work with stakeholders and IT staff to brainstorm, plan, and implement technology solutions that solve real-world business problems.
  • Other responsibilities as required or assigned

Qualifications, Skills, Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT-related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT related role.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple, time-sensitive projects and competing priorities.
  • Experience with ERP, CRM, and WMS, with Epicor experience preferred.
  • Able to analyze business and IT trends and provide solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical subjects to non-technical partners.
  • Experience in desktop support.
  • Preferred certification in cybersecurity
  • Flexible and available for occasional travel throughout North America
