We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Solutioneer (System and Network Administrator) to join our IT team. This role is pivotal in maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing our network and system infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and seamless operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Cisco Meraki, Aruba, ClearPass, Hyper-V, and various system administration tools, along with strong troubleshooting expertise.
Responsibilities
- Network Management & Troubleshooting
- Assist and lead in the design, implementation and administration of LAN and WAN architectures.
- Perform advanced network troubleshooting, including identifying and resolving issues with wired and wireless networks.
- Manage and maintain Cisco Meraki infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Diagnose and resolve Wi-Fi connectivity and performance issues using Aruba and Cisco Meraki tools.
- Configure and manage Aruba wireless solutions and ClearPass for network access control.
- Utilize network and system monitoring tools to proactively identify and mitigate potential issues.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations, VM environments, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
- Ensure that network and systems issues are identified in a timely manner, and propose solutions.
- System Administration
- Manage and optimize Microsoft Hyper-V environments, including creating, configuring, backups and maintaining virtual machines (VMs).
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with VMs, including performance optimization and resource allocation.
- Oversee endpoint devices through JAMF and Endpoint Central, ensuring compliance and security across all systems.
- Maintain and optimize Google Workspace, including user management and configuration.
- Technical Support
- Provide advanced support for network, system, and VM-related escalations.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of systems, networks, and virtualized environments.
Qualifications
- Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Meraki CMSS, Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP), ClearPass certifications, or Hyper-V certifications are highly desirable.
- Experience
- 5+ years of experience in system and network administration, focusing on troubleshooting and network implementation.
- Proven expertise in Cisco Meraki solutions, including firewalls, switches, and wireless access points.
- Hands-on experience with Aruba wireless systems, ClearPass network access control, and Hyper-V management.
- Strong background in managing virtualized environments, including VM deployment and maintenance.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace, SentinelOne (S1), JAMF, and Endpoint Central.
- Technical Skills
- In-depth understanding of network protocols, architecture, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Expertise in Hyper-V management, including failover clustering and high availability.
- Familiarity with cloud-based environments and integration with on-premises infrastructure.
- Proficient in scripting and automation to automation for administrative tasks.
