This role will support both Cloud Managed Networks and Tidal Commerce, two member companies of Umbrella Incorporated, supporting a dynamic and growing environment spanning IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, and digital commerce consulting & implementation.

About the role

As a Marketing Strategy and Content Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping and executing our content and digital marketing strategy within the technology space. You will be responsible for researching global and local market trends, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, and developing high-quality content that supports business growth, demand generation, and brand positioning. 

You will own the creation and execution of content across digital platforms, ensure alignment with campaign and business objectives, and help position the organization as a thought leader in the technology ecosystem. This role requires a strong blend of content creation, digital marketing execution, SEO knowledge, and cross-functional collaboration. 

This is an active role with a preferred hybrid work arrangement of 2 days in the office per week.

Key Responsibilities 

1. Content Strategy, Writing & Creation 
  • Research, analyze, write, and edit high-quality content across formats including blogs, whitepapers, technical guides, case studies, social media posts, newsletters, and sales collateral.  
  • Ensure all content is accurate, well-researched, and aligned with brand voice, messaging, and business objectives.  
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and internal stakeholders to translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging content.  
  • Develop and maintain a structured content calendar to ensure consistent publishing across channels.  
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, competitor activities, and client/partner news to identify content opportunities.  
  • Support thought leadership initiatives for leadership and marketing teams.  
 

2. SEO & Content Optimization 
  • Conduct keyword research and identify opportunities to improve organic search visibility and traffic.  
  • Apply SEO best practices across all digital content to improve rankings and discoverability.  
  • Monitor website and content performance using analytics tools and optimize existing content based on insights.  
  • Support continuous improvement of content strategy through data-driven recommendations.  
 

3. Digital Campaigns & Channel Execution 
  • Execute and manage digital marketing campaigns across websites, email, social media, and other digital platforms.  
  • Manage publishing of content across CMS, social media platforms, and marketing automation tools.  
  • Support creation of landing pages, newsletters, campaign assets, and promotional materials.  
  • Ensure timely execution of campaign deliverables with high quality and consistency.  
  • Track and report on campaign performance metrics and recommend improvements.  
 

4. Partner Marketing & Co-Marketing Execution 
  • Support execution of partner-led marketing and co-marketing initiatives.  
  • Collaborate with strategic partners to develop co-branded campaigns, content, and marketing materials.  
  • Manage MDF (Marketing Development Fund) activities, tracking, reporting, and compliance where applicable.  
  • Build strong relationships with partners to support joint marketing initiatives and campaign success.  
  • Coordinate partner communications and ensure alignment with shared objectives.  
 
5. Sales Enablement & Cross-Functional Support 
  • Develop sales enablement materials including presentations, case studies, one-pagers, pitch decks, and marketing collateral.  
  • Partner closely with sales and operations teams to support revenue-generating initiatives.  
  • Support event marketing activities including pre-event promotion, on-site materials, and post-event follow-ups.  
  • Work cross-functionally to translate business needs into effective marketing content and assets.  
  • Assist in marketing reporting and performance analysis for leadership visibility.  
 Qualifications 

Required 
  • 5+ years of experience in content marketing, digital marketing, or content strategy within the technology industry.  
  • Strong experience in content creation, campaign execution, and digital marketing.  
  • Proven ability to develop and execute content strategies across multiple channels.  
  • Experience working with SEO, analytics, and digital performance tracking.  
  • Strong writing, storytelling, and communication skills with attention to detail.  
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, and leadership.  
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.  
  • Hands-on experience with: HubSpot (marketing automation & CRM), Webflow (website management), SEMrush (SEO & keyword research), Canva (design & content creation) and Google Analytics (performance tracking & insights)  
 
Preferred 
  • Experience in technology domains such as SaaS, IT services, cloud, cybersecurity, or digital infrastructure.  
  • Experience in partner marketing, alliance marketing, or co-marketing programs.  
  • Experience supporting demand generation or revenue marketing initiatives.  
  • Exposure to fast-growing or mid-sized organizations with multi-stakeholder environments.  
  • Experience in - Salesforce (CRM & reporting), LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Google Ads, CMS platforms (WordPress or similar)

Compensation
The base pay range for this role is CA$70,000 – CA$80,000 per year.
