What is the opportunity?

  • Manager, Global Functions Finance is responsible for managing the end-to-end process on NIE estimates and NIAT estimate submissions for Global Functions
  • Centrally manage all hierarchy changes for GF including requests for new transits, new rollups and clean up of closed transits.
  • Responsible for timely delivery of related financial reporting packages while streamlining processes to create efficiencies.
  • Provide guidance and support to end-users relating to Finance systems, business rules (lines, hierarchies, product and segmentation) issues or requirements.
     

What will you do?

Performance Management:

  • Manage weekly estimates NIE process, including the management of the EPM estimate tool for GF as an admin. This includes setting up the base for T-5 estimates, updating the tool with STI updates and Apptio adjustments as they become available, and preparing executive presentations and communications on the NIE estimates.
  • Build strong relationships with business platform finance teams and provide them with proactive updates on T-5 and GV NIE estimates including variance commentary.
  • Lead the preparation and submission of NIAT estimate submission for HO Performance Management and QAR under tight timelines. This involves partnering with Occupancy finance team and Functions finance FAs to source their inputs/ changes and communicate the story around GF NIAT and changes.
  • Liaise with the Financial Control team to manage, analyse accrual guidance of Variable Compensation and provide recommendations if any adjustments are required.
  • Prepare monthly disclosures and variance analysis packages for HO Performance Management and FRR.
  • Provide analytical support of Functions charges to Platforms for Actuals, Forecast, Plan and 5YO.
     

Hierarchy Management:

  • Act as a lead and manage hierarchy change requests for all of GF. Ensure requests are complete and do not conflict with business requirements.
  • Maintain GL-RLN hierarchies for Functions charges and recoveries. Monitor business rules to ensure all changes and new items are mapped appropriately.
  • Lead the management of hierarchy and lookup files that are used by RSS, GF Platform team and CAS for downstream reporting.
     

Projects & Other:

  • Participate as a SME in other projects and conduct UAT testing.
  • Actively look for efficiencies and process improvements.
  • Manage internal deliverables calendar and liaise with Functions FA’s to meet target due dates.
  • Other activities as assigned, including ad-hoc analysis and reporting.
     

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Analytics or Finance or Business degree with 3+ years experience in the industry.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, prioritize work and get things done on time within tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail with strong focus on control.
  • Excellent knowledge of finance systems and processes in financial institutions.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent proficiency in Excel.
  • Candidate must be an independent worker, proactive, creative and innovative self-starter.
  • Champion and support creative solutions that focus on continuous improvement.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with Financial Advisors and other Finance team members.
     

Nice to Have

  • Working experience and knowledge of EPM Cognos/ TM1 finance systems
