Job Description:
We’re looking for a Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) who will lead TJX Canada’s financial planning function. In this role, you’ll partner closely with senior leaders to deliver meaningful insights, drive forecasting/budgeting processes, and influence high‑impact decisions across the organization. You’ll lead and develop a team of Analysts, fostering a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement and innovative problem‑solving. What You’ll Do:
Leads the development of the monthly, annual and long-range forecasting, budgeting processes and financial plans (Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Capital Expenditures, P&L).
Cultivates strong business partnerships by identifying and executing short and long-term business needs, prioritizing and communicating business risks and opportunities.
Present budgets, forecasts and value-added analysis to Executive & Senior Leadership team, communicating key trends, observations, and business impacts.
Participates and advises the business during the organization's strategic planning process and maintain an understanding of industry trends, key business cost drivers, accounting policies etc.
Leads the preparation of financial analysis, standard and ad-hoc financial reports encompassing project control, capital budgeting, payroll, expense planning, and business plan monitoring for all levels of management.
Implements processes and procedures for budget shortfalls, changes in department or project scope; creates notification mechanisms for executive leadership to ensure proper communication.
Work closely with accounting team to support the monthly close process. Ensure the smooth flow of information between FPA and Accounting departments for accrual purposes, ensuring spending matches plans, etc.
Coaches and develops TJX Associates by building their skills and confidence to successfully demonstrate the TJX Leadership and core Finance competencies.
Evaluates and drive performance; provides feedback to Associates with the goal to develop promotable talent (succession planning) within TJX Canada.
Manages specific projects as part of the overall Finance business plan and participates in cross-functional initiatives
About You:
A post-secondary degree in related area/discipline (i.e. Accounting, Business, Finance); an MBA in Finance and/or Accounting is considered an asset.
A Canadian CPA designation (or U.S. CPA equivalent).
A minimum of seven (7) years of progressive Finance experience, including a minimum of five (5) years performing budgeting development, management, and analysis activities.
A minimum of five (5) years of people-leadership experience; proven accountability for the performance and development of others.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to act as a collaborative partner with senior management and positively influence individuals to act in the best interest of the organization.
Excellent management skills including: organizational, facilitation, negotiation, conflict, and time management skills; able to prioritize multiple priorities and maintain the appropriate sense of urgency.
Strong consulting skills; proven ability to procure and analyze a range of quantitative and qualitative information for use in developing strategies, policies and solutions that meet departmental and organizational needs.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset.
Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to build effective relationships, actively listen, challenge constructively, and establish respect and rapport within professional networks.
Excellent people management skills including coaching, providing feedback and guidance, performance evaluation, and performance management.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and appropriately manage highly sensitive information
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and data visualization (ex: Power Bi, Tableau) applications.
