The Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis is responsible for the design, production and delivery of the financial plan and in-depth analysis to support financial decision-making by Shared Service Management functions. This role leads a team of finance professionals who partner with management teams to assist with their initiatives including development of financial models, execution of the financial plan, forecasting financial results/trends and business case development.


How to Create Impact:
  • Lead the annual financial planning cycle including design, consolidation, preparation, and maintenance of data, models, and schedules related to the planning and forecasting cycles.
  • Provide expertise and leadership in the development of financial models and templates to support decision making and what-if scenario modelling.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis as requested by management and to resolve key questions around future strategy/opportunities and the impact on financial performance.
  • This individual will work closely with business partners at all levels of leadership to perform, collaborate and/or execute on the financial plan.
  • Oversee the selection and development of highly skilled, effective and engaged staff members in the accomplishment of department goals and objectives.

To join our team:
  • Completion of a University degree is required in either Business Administration, Economics, Finance or Analytical specializations.
  • Having a designation in CPA, CFA, or MBA is considered to be an asset. 
  • Having a certificate in CIP is also considered to be an asset. 
  • 5 years of previous experience in Finance / insurance and/or analytical fields.
  • You have strong financial acumen.
  • Experience in Oracle, MicroStrategy, and VBA is an asset.

Salary information

 Expected salary range $91,058 to $151,764

Salary placement

The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.

Incentive/Variable pay

Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.
