What You'll Bring:

  • 5+ years general accounting experience 
  • 4-year undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Impact You'll Make:

The Manager – Accounting, Sales Commissions and Royalties will lead accurate financial reporting and timely payments for sales commission and royalty programs. Highlights of this position include driving process transformations in the Sales Commissions and Royalties areas, partnering with program leadership on strategic decision-making, and providing leadership and direction to direct reports and the global capability center accounting team. 

This position will drive streamlining processes in the Sales Commissions accounting area as a key stakeholder of a forthcoming incentive compensation system conversion. This position will scale the Sales Commission and Royalties accounting area, identifying opportunities to combine like processes, and designing and implementing new front-end controls to mitigate risk while reducing manual effort.

Sales Commissions

  • Lead sales commission accounting processes that produce accurate and timely payments to salespeople
  • Ensure annual sales commission plans changes are correctly configured and tested prior to program launch date
  • Support quarterly forecasting and annual budget cycle for sales commissions

Royalties

  • Lead royalties accounting process that produces accurate and timely payments to partners
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure changes to royalty programs are reviewed, configured and tested prior to contractual effective dates
  • Establish automated and insightful reporting for all royalty programs

Month End Close

  • Manage the month and quarter end accounting close processes which includes reviewing and approving journal entries, revenue and balance sheet analysis and account reconciliations

Internal Controls/Audits

  • Assist in the assessment, design and implementation of internal controls
  • Serve as key point of contact for internal, external and regulatory audit requests

Leadership/management

  • Provide leadership and direction to direct report(s) and global capability center accounting team
  • Serve as primary point of contact for sales commission and royalty accounting processes
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, proposes solutions, and implements changes
  • Develops relationships and provides support to Accounting, Sales, and FP&A leadership
  • Supports relevant business system conversion projects

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Pay Scale Information :

The U.S. base salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $135,000.00 annually. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations.

Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion’s annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
