We are seeking an Intermediate Quality Engineer to help ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain automated test suites, define key quality metrics, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues across the product lifecycle. You will also contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices to enhance overall product quality.
Position Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute automated test cases and test suites from the ground up.
- Analyze test results, document findings, and report defects, progress, and status updates.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of testing activities and outcomes.
- Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and cross-functional stakeholders early in the development lifecycle to understand requirements and ensure strong test coverage.
- Identify potential risks and proactively recommend solutions to improve quality outcomes.
- Contribute ideas and initiatives to enhance existing testing processes, tools, and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, scripts, and reports.
- Provide guidance and knowledge-sharing support to team members to promote collaboration and reduce duplication of effort.
- Participate in code reviews and advocate for quality best practices across the team.
Required Qualifications:
- Approximately 5 years of experience in quality engineering with a focus on automation testing.
- Experience developing automated tests using frameworks such as Selenium (TestNG), Playwright, or similar tools.
- Hands-on experience with API testing and familiarity with database testing concepts.
- Experience with UI test automation practices and tools.
- Familiarity with development and testing tools such as Eclipse, Postman (or similar tools), SOAP tools, JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, and commonly used TDD/BDD frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in Agile environments, including participation in sprint ceremonies and iterative development processes.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across distributed teams.

Salary range is expected to be between
$86,100.00 CAD - $136,100.00 CADEmployees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
