About the team:

Global Buying Hub or GBH represents a portfolio of markets and is a key platform for the global expansion of eBay. You will join an international team that is passionate about growing eBay’s audience across 5 continents through highly scalable technology solutions. As Head of Operations- Global Buying Hub, this role will have the responsibility to supervise the performance of the portfolio, manage the relative marketing, commercial and business operations reporting into the Senior Director of International Markets Expansion.

What you will accomplish: 

  • You will define the strategy for the expansion in the GBH markets and contribute to increase the global eBay customer base
  • Together we will be responsible for doubling the size of the GBH volume in the next 3-4 years
  • You will manage day to day operations collaborating with Global teams ensuring GBH experience is optimized for the respective market needs
  • As GBH represents a very diverse set of markets you will also be responsible to ensure all customers are offered equal access to our experience
  • Coordinate all Marketing, Business Development, Customer Experience and Product activities

  • Identify and assess strategic partnerships and inorganic growth opportunities in the GBH markets

Job requirements:

  • 10+ years of ecommerce experience
  • An open mind coupled with international/global responsibilities
  • a track record of failures and successes driven by passion for customer satisfaction
  • Commercial foresight and Operational competence, ideally in general management roles
  • Clear track record of success driving strategies and implementing operating plans

  • Executive level verbal and written communication skills

  • Highly organized, detailed problem solver

  • Strong analytical and project management skills

  • Experienced at working on detailed business cases from early concept through execution and ensuring visibility with partners

  • Strong-cross functional leader with high degree of ownership and drive for results across regions, locations, and time zones
